Can you go to the community pool if you're not a resident, or at least rent out for a mini trip for a few days

The only thing that bothers me is the lack of trees. It’s so bland. They bulldozed all the beautiful trees and native plants when they created this place. Shame. That said, a premier home for 1.5 million like the one in Florida is about 4 -5 million here in Palm Springs California in a gated golf community. But Palm Springs/La Quinta area has mountains (Santa Rosa mountain range) and is much prettier than flat Florida.

Thanks for this video. These are the type homes my husband and I are interested in. I see that this video is 3 years old, so could you possibly do an updated version? We are most interested in one bedroom-one bath with or without a den. Thank you so much!

Is there a place in the Villages where I could buy a large lot and not have to live in a cookie cutter shack?

All I’m seeing is garages !!! The homes look boring. I’m sure they are beautiful inside but looks like pleasantville to me. Is there any space in the backyard ? Because there sure isn’t any front yard. And sooooo close together. Is this considered and HOA ? From the air yes I can honestly say “Pleasantville” 🙄

Where are the floorplans so you can see the layouts? Do you own the land or required to rent the land? Are there basements? Your video doesn't answer many questions nor is it very informative.

Don’t be confused by the TOTAL sq. ft. (Including lanai, etc.) and the ACTUAL sq. ft. of just the house. Most 3/2 are between 1,800-2,000 sq. ft. House.
@lilysgram5886
2 жыл бұрын
Yes, most 3/2 are 1,800-2,000. I have a 4/2 that is 2,600:sq ft & with the lanai is 3,000 (if you’re measuring for a new roof).

@0:20, nice walk up and good to see that an ugly garage doesn't dominate the frontage. @0:43, ground floor cloakroom ✅ Not a fan of open plan and both the kitchen and living room look small. Bedroom and shower room off the kitchen 😬 Should have utilised those spaces to make the living room bigger. @5:27, I like the anteroom to the main bedroom. I wouldn't have thought that a dryer would be necessary in Florida, but I guess there is a rule against hanging out washing. 😂 The fittings in the bathroom would not be my choices, but I like the separate loo.

Love the stonework on the exterior and the fact that there is a foyer that introduces you to the home. I like that the kitchen is at the back and there is separation from the dining and living rooms. Can't stand those vast open plan floors. I don't get the addition of a shower in the ground floor cloakroom given that there are no bedrooms on that level. The bedrooms were lovely, but some of the "bathrooms" looked basic and I wouldn't have chosen those dark vanity units.

The current villages numbers on property taxes, CDD bonds & other assessments including but not limited to yearly bond fees, villages maintenance fees ect ect for a $400K home are $7000plus yearly and climbing. Great video on communities, but the villages realistic monthly cost are double + in some cases.

You get what you pay for though……The Villages has 40+ executive golf courses, and 18 Championship courses. Nightly entertainment, and pools in every community, plus there are recreation centers with lap pools. This is way more amenities than any of the other communities he mentioned. Some us are gladly paying more for the added quality of life.

Enjoyed your video - Some houses are close as people mentioned in the posts below, however, less yard to maintain, and when you live here, you are never home. From morning to night people are out and about enjoying activities and friends. It's about the lifestyle, not so much the house. :) IMO

I’m surprised at all the negative comments. Of course I am too young to buy there now (ha ha) but I think it looks very nice. I’ve heard lots of nice things about The Villages. They have lots of things to do and I read over 2,000 clubs! I thought it was a good video. I would also like to see one explaining the different village neighborhoods, what each offers, what they are close to, etc.

Great video and information. I'm a little confused on the square footage for Designer homes. You listed Designer as 1300 to 2100 sq. ft. while the Veranda homes are 2200 to 3300 sq.ft. Is that right?
