BRO. You are actually genius! How did you figure this out? It has been 4 months of this sitting on my shelf frustrated with not being able to understand this bind issue with my microkomodo on the Meus 2 speed. Man. I am really impressed. Also feeling a little foolish for not thinking of this. Thank you very much for this video. Subscribed

i tried this with another brushless and its always faster backwords, any tips?
@A1-RC
Ай бұрын
@@Store_bought_plutonium I know, with a brushed motor, you can reverse the leads and that would solve it. Not 100% sure if that would work with brushless. But I reckon it might be worth a shot. I have not had that issue with brushless yet.

@@A1-RCya so online ive seen u can do the same with a brushless but its more tricky with a sensored one which is wat i got, i ended up drilling holes and switching the transmission around

Maybe lower axle gears would be a good compromise? My go with the two speed when I build a rock crawler/bouncer, but think I will stay single speed on my High Trail

What size was the bit you used for the furitek set screw?
@A1-RC
4 ай бұрын
To be honest, the bits I had at the time didn't have any markings. I used a cheap set from Ace Hardware and just tried them all until I found one that fit. I'm sorry I don't have an exact size to report.

Do you manually switch between gears or does the esc support another servo to change gears ?
@A1-RC
6 ай бұрын
I was manually switching when I originally put it in with the stock esc. But the furitek system came with a 4 channel receiver/transmitter, so it supports the servo to switch gears and lights.

Your video encouraged me to buy the meus two speed. I have a problem, though. I am using stock esc for now, but the car goes backward when I pluu the trigger. I solved it by reversing the throttle channel, but this time the car goes reverse faster than it does in forward mode. Besides, pro lighting kit working wrong. How can I fix that?
@A1-RC
6 ай бұрын
Strange that the throttle would be reversed. Do you have portal axles? What did you do to reverse the throttle? Traxxas does have instructions on how to reverse throttle with the transmitter and how to calibrate the throttle. Let me know if you can't find these instructions and I'll see what I can do to get them to you.

What axles are those? And are you running the stock frame? Id like to get the injora diamond axles but im worried the lay down servo wont fit between the stock frame rails
@A1-RC
6 ай бұрын
The front axle is a Treal aluminum and the rear is the stock plastic with a brass diff cover. Gearing in diffs are stock ratio metal gears. The frame is stock. The lay down servo has been working fine with my current setup. I feel like if I lowered the suspension, like a full droop setup, that it might be a problem. But I'm not sure.

I'm loving all three! High speed it pretty quick. I was thinking of doing a TRX4M build for speed and jumping one day. This Venom motor and Meus transmission are pretty quick. But I know they make a 9:1 gear set for these. I bet the 9:1 with this brushless motor would be absolutely nuts!

How you change the speed with out remote control?

There is a pin and spring mechanism to attach to the shift lever. You would pull the pin back and slide back or forward to change gears then release the pin to hold your selection.
