Blasser seems to be like really on top of his game, and comes across as man with a unique vision. But the sounds, they are so off the map, at least to me. Especially the PB instrument, I've never heard any music made by it that I like. Would really appreciate some info on where to find examples to the contrary.

Well, this is very interesting, but an earlier comment suggests that the creator is interested in exploring knowledge which is not widely available, and I think that’s fucked.

"This is to make beats that you DON'T understand...hard to dance to." Peter, you are such a NUT!! I have a Cocoquantus, and that thing is a Transdimensional Portal Key. The Plumbutter definitely seems like something else. I'd like to have one someday, along with a Rollzer.

It amuses me how he says anyone can do this but no one had the mind other than Peter Blasser. I've actually looked into some of the chips and ICs for the cocoquantus and it is a new subject to learn ICs (like the 128-bit memory chips used by cypress) have states from waveforms to record sound but I still don't get how it comes out to work like it does. Takes a lot of specific knowledge he may see as common but Peter is partly genius, part mad but entirely loveable. Such a legend, I was lucky enough to get the last poured glass cocoquantus 🥺. these things are works of art in synthesis.

There is something very Napoleon dynamite about PB. I love his dry humour. Coughing from the smoke in the cave is just hilarious. He was trying to create some kind of mysterious atmosphere but the reality of the situation took precedent. I love the way he sees synth building, he’s a real craftsman. Something which really is lacking in our modern world.

found this bit from synth docs - ‘interestingly, the pb that peter uses in this video had actually been sitting on his patio, exposed to the elements for years. so it was acting funky when he demonstrated it. the new pb2s sound better, or, at least, sound closer to peter's intention when he conceived the instrument.... that's my interpretation, anyway.’
