This video unironicly made me start a degree in Computer Science, half way done and just finished a large exam and passed showcasing understanding of C and a large range of data structures and algorithms :D

This is the most underwhelming review I have ever seen, but not because of your work. Most of the content of your analysis is common sense for each discipline (modeling, rendering, programming), i don’t know who are the developers but any junior to mid in these disciplines is extremely aware of all these points. Would have been 100 times more educative and loving if you invested your time in explaining how from the compiler you reconstructed the whole project, which sounds mesmerizing to me.

To be fair, "string representation of floats", "0.0" is less bytes than a float, so the highlight was funny. But sure, 129.42 is more.

So I'm years late to the party and have completely missed everything about the Yandere simulator and drama, but this video serves as a good reminder of what my high performance computing professor used to say: "Never trust a statement about performance without a benchmark!".

My heartrate spiked when i saw that wireframe view. One of my 3D leads was a 3D artist at Starcraft 2, he would (verbaly) beat us, junior artists, down for every 100 extra verts unoptimized. Guys gonna skip a lil bit of polys here and there, and the whole thing is going to accumulate in 5-20% FPS loss for no good reason.

42:57 so cool thing about Enums is that you can use the FlagsAttribute on the enum to basically do all the number assignment for you. As well, using ToString will show it as a bunch of enum values ORed together. A lot easier than doing all of it manually
