Three Section Staff is such a unique weapon in existed! It's very rare for anyone willing to use that weapon for the combat. It's much different and difficult than the bo-staff (longstick) or drum sticks during the combat. Using with 3 section staff is hard to mastered in 2 to 5 years.

As a kenjutsu practitioner, I have say this was a disgrace. As much as Hollywood seems to love fight scenes with katana, you would think they would attempt authentic kenjutsu.

I just realized the the samurai's evil boss also played a similarly evil and greedy character in 2003's THE LAST SAMURAI with Tom Cruise and Ken Watanabe.

I love the decision to have the two warriors from historically waring countries to have the utmost respect for each other before, throughout, and after the final fight. The actor who plays the Japanese Samurai is fantastic at this - arguably as good as Jet Li.

I’m willing to bet that the Japanese dude on the right is an actual douche in real life. He played this role in pretty every single movie he was in. A traitor.

I truly believe both of these fighters were equal in strength and skill. They also had the upmost respect for each other. Wish more movies like this would be made.

The whole film is excellent. It's not about the fight but about selflessness and learning about who we are. The fight seen is one of the best ever put on film. Jet Li is a superb martial artist.
