you have to work on the moisture level. you donot want to have a small swap there. perhaps a hole at the bottom to drain the excess water.

If you could slide sheets of corrugated cardboard down into that moisture along the side walls they would wick and evaporate the moisture really quickly. Egg carton material works well to wick moisture, too. ~ Sandra

I did some research on worm reproduction and they prefer certain types of bedding (cardboard, sawdust), temperatures and pH for reproduction. Of course, I'm just a home worm farmer, so my worms get what they get, but if you're really seriously looking to increase the number, there are things you can do. ~ Sandra

Most food scraps except meat or diary, fruit peels, vegetable scraps, things that go bad/moldy in the fridge. They will eat most things for me.

Hey that looks awesome 👍 I shifted my worm bin from cylindrical to rectangle shape for more room for the worms and also for a very easy harvest of vc . Ig I have around 50-100 worms ( even though I am having the bin for 2-3 years I had neglect them ) . I hope the worms adjust in their new home 🏠. Happy gardening!

I just started a worm bin. I am in Florida and afraid that the worms because it's just too hot outside. What do you suggest? And I don't have a lid for my bin.

I live in the northeast of Brazil and its pretty hot in here(around 30 celsius the whole year). I've been using fabric grow bags and it have been so much better compared to the old plastic bin that I've used.

You can Freeze the food and you can add frozen bottles of water to keep it cool…. His is more of a compost bin then a worm farm

@Craigscompost whatever is naturally in the ground. I know there is some in there. I think the one is named Harvey. As I find them in the garden I pitch them over into the compost pile.
