Absolutely. You must make sure the focused sun ray does not hit the plastic handle. You cannot leave this system unattended for long do to the sun's changing position in the sky and subsequent shifting of the focused sun ray.

My only issue is that you cannot operate the light and fan on separate switches. I had to cap off the red wire and now have a light switch that doesn’t do anything. Now I have to use the remote control to turn on the light instead of one switch for the fan and the other for the light. The manufacturer said because of the dc motor. They could used separate wires and just join both together if you only have 1 switch. I had to shim the holder to get the hanger rod level and controller to fit correctly. It was binding and not hang straight down.

I know this is a weird algorithm to be getting this video just now. I’m thinking this made sense to some folks back in the 50’s with the vision of a helicopter in every garage but I couldn’t imagine doing my own CSAR with this thing. Fighter cover or no fighter cover. 😮

Thank you! If you are coming to the San Francisco Bay area, The Hiller museum is off of 101, half-way between SF and San Jose. It's a small museum but has an interesting collection of aircraft.

APC were a fundamentally bad idea because their design and capabilities coerce their misuse as IFV. They're not intended for direct combat but are inevitably sent there.

Great to see someone preserving a piece of my family’s history. The Jewett’s arrived in Massachusetts in 1639 from Yorkshire, England on the ship John and gradually built up companies and then we opened a few foundries that made iron stoves and other products, even automobiles in the 1920’s.

This guy doesn't know what he's talking about and doesn't own Lincoln's Spencer. The rifle gifted to President Lincoln from Christopher Spencer is in the National Museum. Lincoln's rifle is a full length and unmodified Spencer Army Rifle with a full front stock on a 30" inch barrel and damn near pristine in condition. Whatever this guy is holding looks like a heavily modified SAR that has had the front stock cut down, checkering added and looks like it was kept above the bar at a pub for 80 years.

Just wondering where the water for the original aqueduct that supplied Caesarea came from? I was there Oct.22 and tried locating the source. It was said to be near some stream at Shuni.

This is the most accurate hull I have yet seen. While most builders do a good job above the waterline, the accuracy below the waterline has been wanting. This model does it right. The hull here has lines common to New England commercial fishing vessels of this size.

I always wonder how the center of gravity (CG) is managed in a side-by-side canard airplane like this, both when the co-pilot seat is absent (aft CG) and when it is not absent (resulting in more load on the canard, which has a steeper lift curve than the wing)

I am completely impressed with the 177B-RG. I don't understand WHY it was discontinued after only 10 years of apparent success and further developed. Retractable landing gear, with manual back-up capability is a must if flying in mountainous, forested terrain because if ANY landing is survivable, only flat surfaces like runways are suitable with fixed gear - with gear up you crash-land like a sled with a smooth bottom to slide and dissipate your crash energy slowly enuf to survive. Fixed landing gear invariably snag the ground or tree branches and immediately throw the aircraft outta control and at any and all angles in any scenario. Further, with just the replacement of the standard propellar with a fully-reversible, constant-speed three blade prop and other state-of-the-art up-dates, the combination fits perfectly the American pilot/owner/operator GA niche. Just with these off-the-shelf improvements, the range, value and versatility of this already great product could be doubled, imho
