I’m guessing you didn’t do everything exactly as I did. I never had a problem. Are you talking about the rectifier is smoking? I will double check all your connections. There has to be a short somewhere.

no up where we put the fusible link the other post starts heating up . the stator has the five lines coming out. hooked the three stator lines up direct. but I dont ser in the video where you are connecting the two others . maybe I'm missing something in your vid.

so I found one of your first videos. voiding the signal generator lines. I did change my physical stator because of meltdown in the plugs. my question.. do you have to do anything inside on the stator to void the signal generator? I simply changed it installed stator and signal gen and cut the plug.at the end of the harness? failing that I'm pulling my harness I put in .. must be a short. I am also relocating the rectifier on the front of the battery box to improve cooling as there are several finding it helped. I've owned the boulevard 3 years and has had it meltdown twice on the highway after 5 hr long rides. hope I can get it too play nice. my Harley s never let me down.. hahaha thought I'd try a metric ... who knew.. thanks for the videos. pull it out and run it again if I got too.

Hello, good morning, a question? The yellow wires and the white wires are installed in some order or any white wire with any yellow. cables from the regulator to the stator? thanks

Sorry but where did I get what? The stator? If so I ordered it online. This was years ago but I believe it was directly from Ricks Stators in the US. And yes , the stator wasn’t keeping up the charge even when the bike was running it would drain. I found the 3 phase connection where the stator and rectifier connected was defective. One of the 3 connections wasn’t putting out much power. Seeing as I had to take it all apart anyway I did the Mod 3 modification and Never had a problem again

Those bikes are famous for the rectifier overheating as it does not get enough airflow to cool it being hidden behind the cover. I know some who made a bracket and mounted the rectifier on the frame near the front of the motor in the open air anmd never had an issue again (had to lengthen the wires).

Great video. Just a question. Did you have to drain the oil before removing the crankcase cover or did no oil come out because the bike was leveled on the stand?

You have to drain all the oil first.

@sergiomedeiros414

May i ask why do you need a mod 3 for?
@saleenguy25
7 жыл бұрын
Sergio Medeiros The mod 3 is done on the C90 because of the low quality charging system. From what I've read the C90 is known for problems with the charging system. The Mod 3 gets rid of all plastic connections by cutting them off and connecting all the wires from the stator and rectifier directly to each other as well as adding a new ground line.
