Can I ask where you purchased your oil extraction pump . I bought one at griot’s garage . The tube which going in the tube perhaps is too large a diameter because I can only get barely 4 quarts out after pumping it for almost an hour

People who have done it? Do you really need the trim removal tool to unclip the sensor?

Mine has only one filter. My car was a 2014 certified CPO purchased back in 2017. It always had only one engine air filter. Is this normal?

Thank you. this is great! Decided to stop purchasing Audicare after 6 years. Called Audi Bay Area dealer yesterday, they would charge $383 for the oil change alone. By comparison, one-time cost of $100 for the extractor, $45 for oil and filter making the dealer cost look like a HUGE ripoff.

What can I do if one of the most well known Mercedes dealerships broke the snorkle plastic clip on my car? Is it absolutely necessary to have a continuing tube to the front? Does the snorkle run to the radiator or is the plastic oval/elliptical shaped end piece nor important to be 100% attached near the front bumper?

I have the 2016 and this helped me a ton. Do you still have this car? I don’t drive so I’m just hitting 60k now. Have you changed your spark plugs, brake fluid, radiator fluid or anything else? I love how you explain things and would love videos on those.

You need to use less water with Castile soap if you want thick foam. I think Castile soap makes the best foam .

Hilarious video! The only thing missing is to lubricate the o-ring on the new oil filter before installing it. ;)

I don’t understand why you need to remove whole filter if you need unscrew just 3 screws and it’s way easier to replace it instead to have a deal with clamp and sensor.I just did it on the car.

His technique is solid. Harvesting the pigment from the same stone is a fantastic move. He misses the mark on the darker area but could have sourced that pigment from a darker part of the stone. He could also work the top layer with some pigments from a kit to better the match. I think you're dismissing the value of his technique...and its his first try.

Getting the right colour is the hardest bit. I did similar thing but with an old wooden clock. It really takes a lot of time to get it right and patience. The other thing is the place, if this is in a bathroom or kitchen (when you clean the surface often) you can't just cover it with the right colour (what I did with the wood) as it will go off.

cost not that much dfferent than dealer but remember...the pump/tools is a one time purchase! consumables will need to be replenished ofcourse. Hate that you have to drive it to see the oil level. Thanks for the details.

Remember once you open the tab you have to press on it gently then pull the connection otherwise you wont be able to and you might think the tab needs to be pulled more which it doesnt hence breaking the tab.

How many times have you used the extraction tool? Is it holding up well? Did you have any issues with the tubing size? I've seen people reviewing and saying that the tubing can kink or not fully reach the bottom of the pan. Did it pull out all 5qts? I can't tell from the video what the levels are on it.
@diykimchi2886

I have used the extractor 10+ times, also use it for my wife's car and it's holding up well without any issues. It does take out most of the oil as I can empty the container of Castrol w/o overfilling, I doubt it will get all of the gunk at the bottom so I like to drive the car around the block prior to the change to stir it up.
