Anyone who lives close to that park is very lucky. I wish the park was in my back yard. I would sure enjoy that.

Thx for great video. How many Maga Americans are swept away by the tide each summer? "Oh, that tide table doesn't apply to us." (BTW, Reaganite Repub here.) Hoping that Canadians do some heavy advertising to Fla and Tx.

Liked #13, oh wow! One of the most incredible sires of the world Macchu Picchu! Nice thorough history along your walk paths towards it. Nice to see that trekked it instead of the train ride. Nice to see that there is more to offer than Macchu Picchu. One day, I must do this trekking, too. Sorry, I have not been in touch for sometime! Was away to Europe for 2 1/2 months. I'll be in touch 😎👍

I am somewhat of an amateur "expert" on Cherry Spring. :-) Brought my kids there in May 2010. Didn't see much of the Milky Way because it was May. Went back August 2015 with the family but this time there was a full moon. Again, didn't see much. My family didn't want to go back a third time so I went with my dog for the 5 hour drive from NJ in November 2022. Made sure it was a new moon and the weather was clear. It was beautiful. Never saw so many stars in the sky. You can see the haze of the Milky Way. It was a cold night in November but it was well worth it.

I would hunt in that area. At night the sky was spectacular. It got to the point it was worth the trip from Pittsburgh just to sit on a mountain in the snow all nite and watch the magnificent sky, then head home in the morning catching a Mickey D’s big breakfast along the way. Life was good! The heck with the hunt. Loved those days!

That's a beautiful place. It's a pitty the water looks so dirty and not like the regular ocean. I assume it's that color due to the ocean floor in that area.

Do you pay the 15 dollars for the overnight observation field when you get there or you have to do it online?
@jopejackworld

Hi, you pay when you get there. You just put the money into a provided envelope, fill out the requested info on the envelope (name and license plate number if I remember correctly) and drop it in a box.

@Samira Al Otaibi there isn't. Too much light pollution. You would need to go somewhere far away from the city. I saw a sky like this in Vermont.

We were warned, planning a geo day on the beach, to start to hang around the staircase well before the tide was due. If we missed the tide, we were to find the highest rock we could and get comfortable - it was going to take a while, like 10 hours.
