- 💋 Nova Scotia-based home-brewing brunettes - 🍺 Creating curated-batch, artisanal, quality craft beer - 💚 Beer-brewing from a backyard little green brew barn
I'm getting one. After a break of 9 or more years from brewing I found it new and more complicated. First batch turned out bad but wouldn't stop bubbling like the old days after 5 to 7 days. Going pressure and a RAPT pill hope that works. Economy made me start again and I find the changes interesting and looking forward to trying everything.

Awesome setup! Pro tip - while your coil seems to work awesome, adding some water to the cooler will help as the ice starts to melt. The water will stay ice cold and be fully in contact with your coil, maximizing heat transfer compared to ice alone. I used a similar setup with a bucket and ice and water always worked better. Cheers!

You're very funny! But what about the coil, so this is probably immersion chiller? But how did you bend the ends of the coil without harming it? Keep posting the content I like it!
@beerbrewnettes
Жыл бұрын
It was malleable metal! We measured it outside before teaming the homes and then just bent he coil slightly to meet the fittings. All the materials we used are in the video description so you can see the exact chiller we used in case that helps at all ❤

At first we opened every door and window in the brew barn 😂 but we just recently got a steam condensing lid from Spike Brewing and it fits pretty well- life is muchhhhh better now! Let us know if you want the specs of the lid we got and we will pass them along to you !

Hey guys love your videos. On the subject of pickle jars - I use an Irwin Quick Grib clamp to open pickle jars and the like. It might also work for that pesky lid. These clamps just lie around - however I keep one in the kitchen. Clamps might also be useful in the brew barn. Good luck with the channel !
