Nico Bereciartua
Nico Bereciartua is a musician and composer. Born in Buenos Aires in 1980, he was raised in a family of musicians. He started playing guitar at the age of 12 after listening to Robert Johnson and quickly got deep into slide guitar. In 2002, he founded the band Viticus with his father. They toured South America and Europe and released four studio records. In 2004 Nico also joined the iconic Argentine band Riff. Rolling Stone magazine named him one of the best guitar players of Argentina and in 2015 he released his first solo record, an instrumental album that won The Carlos Gardel Award in 2016, which distinguishes outstanding achievement in Argentine music. He also is part of Playing For Change, a movement that records musicians all over the world and already built music schools in Africa, India and South America. In 2016 Rich Robinson, founding member of The Black Crowes, asked Nico to join his band. In 2019 he released his second album: Volviendo.
