To be honest, i brought this phone last year and and a so far, I like drawling on it alot thanks to the fact that other spens are compatible with it. No clue about note 9 and beyond but, the note 2's s pen works just fine on the edges display. The only con about this phone is the sheer amount of lag this thing gained over the past sevral years on android 6.0.

The note edge is like the iphone X, but the samsung note edge is prettier and classier, despite the fact that I see it getting older and older. I've had one since 2016, with android 4.4.4 but haven't used it for several years as it has reboot issues and other note 4/edge issues. The time I was still using it, I'd had positive comments about the phone saying it was classy. the samsung note edge marked the beginning of the first edge phones with the samsung round I'm sure that even in 2050, I'd still be thinking that the note edge was a smartphone that made a real impression on me.

I have a note 4, which is just the less fun version of the note edge with a flat display. As you said some apps really do chug thanks to the old CPU (exynos in my case). But the general UI is responsive. And it can take decent shots when it's bright. But one thing I don't really like is the fingerprint reader. It's mostly accurate but having to swipe down on the sensor is a bit of a pain. There are two other things that I love about it that you haven't mentioned, the IR blaster (unfortunately mine stopped working) and the heart rate, blood oxygen and UV sensor that's next to the flash. Though UV measuring feature got removed from S Health at some point so you need to downgrade it to get that functionality. And I found the heart rate monitor to be reasonably accurate.

I still have my Note 4 and it's a will always have a favorite spot in my heart. Too bad my Note 4 stopped working. I am unable to turn it on. It was a phone that has great specs when it came out and was good for many years afterwards.

Such a shame samsung went with their crappy chip for the rest of the world, I loved my snapdragon s21 ultra, timeless design with that metal bleeding over the edge. I was running 2 pokemon gos in split screen and mine ran smooth as hell. Only upgraded to the fold 4 for more screen 😂 and it wasn't an upgrade in terms of cameras.

So here is a guide for partitioning in Linux You gonna need: 1. 300MB FAT32 /boot/efi 2. 4GB - 16GB swap (the bigger your RAM the smaller can your swap be, but please at least give it 4GB) 3. 50 - 100 GB ext4 / (depends how big your ssd/hdd storage is where your sytem is gonna be installed and your programs) 4. The rest and most part of your ssd / hdd ext4 /home/ (where your personal files and steam games are gonna be installed, a seperate home partition is recommended so if you break your system, you keep your personal files and configs) Welcome to the linux world and don't worry we all started like you. If you keep on you'll gonna love linux. If youve got questions dont hesitate to ask

No need for swap partition, modern distros can use swapfile instead, Fedora uses its own solution z-ram or something simmilar. efi partition is needed if you have gpt formatting, if you have older just CSM capable hardware you do not need efi partition. So, for old hardware is just root parttion necessary.

Cool video. This reminds me of my old PC that has an FX8320, Radeon HD 7950 3GB Twin Frozr iii, and 16GB of DDR3 RAM. I got the motherboard, RAM, GPU, and CPU for free in 2020 from a friend and used the PC until March of 2023. I still have the PC but it needs a PSU and storage.

That's a tad weird fedora had issues. I had the most trouble installing Opensuse tumbleweed. Ubuntu is fine, kubuntu is great, and Lubuntu is interesting. You might have more success with Nobara. I've been using GloriousEggroll's flavor of Fedora for 2 years. Its been good.
I came here from bitview, just wanted to say that this video is absolutely fire. Might make one like this

Ubuntu isn't a bad choice either for distros. I use Linux Mint myself for the more traditional Windows 7 style interface but whatever floats your boat.

I actually switched the laptop over to Linux Mint yesterday because I do prefer it's Windows 7-like interface over GNOME, but I completely forgot about its existence at the time of making this video, I just wanted to get Windows 8 off my system.

That I can understand@@retroroom7. I never much cared for Windows 8 though I dealt with it for about a year or so on 2 different laptops until I realized OEM Windows disks where a thing (at the time) and reloaded Windows 7 on my Dell.

I mean, is not that outdated anymore, I use Rolling Distro because I need more up-to-date software, but I have a 2nd SSD with Debian and all the apps that I need, just in case. @@LovelyBlazingRush
