This band and their music immediately transports me back to the middle 80’s and being a young teenager.

I must say that I have never been a huge fan of Breaking Benjamin, but I saw Chris Daughtry's name on this video, so I had to listen to the song! And let me tell you, I think that I am going to have to go and listen to their songs once again because this song was awesome! And I am sure that having Chris sing with them influenced me just a bit. But I definitely have to go and listen to Breaking Benjamin songs once again!

How could you not like Breaking Benjamin? They're one of the best rock bands ever! They don't have one bad song.
@abornbuyer

@imthecrazyone23 I know I know! My brother used to ask me the same thing! I had listened to country music for a long time and I gradually started listening to rock again. This started about 7 years ago and my opinion has changed about alot of artists that I didn't like then but now I just love. I might be slow on the up take but I do come around. And this is probably a terrible reference because I know alot of people don't like Five Finger Death Punch but they have a song called Sham Pain and I couldn't stand the song when I first heard it and now it's one of my favorite songs of their's.

@imthecrazyone23 That is why I think they are re-releasing their older stuff lately. Except the acoustical version of Judgement Day is my favorite song of theirs at the moment! And Dance With The Devil is my favorite from Breaking Benjamin so far! Lol...

This song is just 1 of a shit load of hits for BB, and yet hearing Duaghty sing it, it would be his biggest hit. Daughtry has always had the voice, just never had the songs to match. Shame.

@closinginonclosure

@@ryangraham7012 That's not at all true, my friend. I've been vocalist/touring musician for many years and have done plenty of screaming live and on my albums. For one, "distortion" is a very broad term, in terms of vocals. For example, even a guy like Eddie Vedder or Scott Stapp of Creed off add distortion to their vocal. As far as I know, I've never heard either fry scream. I also know vocalists who actually do harsh vocals regularly and can comfortably do certain types of harsh vocals, but can't project a proper fry scream. It's no different than the fact that there's a lot of vocalists who can comfortably fry scream, but can't do a guttural low scream to save their lives. To be clear, I think that it's something that could be learned by a lot of vocalists with practice and understanding of how to do it. I'm just saying that it's not something all singers can do, which is how you're making it sound.

@@closinginonclosure no everybody can’t do it, yes it can be learned and I’m just saying typically when someone has good control over making there voice more gritty and good at distortion they can usually fry scream . I’ve always been able to do it not that it’s my vocal style but I’ve showed friends that have no vocals Ability at all how to do it , but yes it’s not easy for people that sing super clean to Learn how to release in to fry people thjnk is more pushing and trying to get loud and it’s actually opposite.

Ben hasn’t sounded the same live since he sobered up. I mean, I’m glad he did, but he’s lost the sound he used to have. I went to live shows before they broke up, and to one since they reformed with the new lineup, and it’s NOT the same. The vibe is even different at the concerts now.

Are you saying the alcohol made his voice sound better? Because that's NOT at all how that works. Yeah, Ben sounds different; he's older. Plus, he used to smoke a lot, in addition to the drinking. - Both of which are *bad for your voice* by the way. If you think the alcohol made his voice sound better, watch the 2007 Stabler Arena performance. But in this video, despite his voice sounding different and being in his mid 40s, he's still hitting all the notes. He goes sharp a couple times, but when it comes to high notes, it's better to be sharp than flat. If you think sobering up was bad for his voice, then you probably don't know a thing about vocal health.
