Good video. I recently bought a nucleus link as a first roaster and am already looking at what’s next. How is that little exhaust fan you bought? Does it work pretty good at taking the smoke out? Given the orientation of your Bullet is it hard for you to empty the chaff?

When would you decide to increase the speed of the fan,lower the power or increase the drumspeed when you want to slow down the temperature for a bit? It seems you have multiple ways to increase or decrease the temp. But what are the pros and cons of each option? Nice video by the way!!

Did you ever tried it with 1kg of Green Coffee? I wonder how many smoke comes out, because unfortunately I could not set such a quiet good room as you did :-)

Yes I have and there was no problem with the 1kg roast. You'll just need to be more careful with the starting temperature and making adjustments throughout so that it doesn't roast too quickly or burn the beans.

Thank you! I wish I had a good answer for you but I've never used Artisan. It is nice to have your roast time connected to your inventory in roast world so all of your batches get subtracted from your inventory automatically. It does have flaws they're trying to correct in the inventory tracking.

Great video, information I needed. I have a question about the exhaust does it need to vented? I don't see any vent kits or people taking about the exhaust. I am currently using a SR800 it makes some exhaust and smells but Aillio is considerably larger.

So far I've made adjustments to the steady decrease in the RoR and adjustments in the time since first crack. I've found that reducing the RoR steadily after first crack and letting it get to the roast temperature you're looking for is easier to control that way. Gives you a great bean.
@giovannyt.6778
2 жыл бұрын
Great video. Tip - if you want a greater RoR, reduce the fan speed. Also, if you reduce the speed of the drum, you will see a significant increase in the RoR as the beans make more surface contact with the hot drum.
@loverspointcaprinesandcaff5256
2 жыл бұрын
Thank you Giovanny! I've never tried the reduction in drum speed to increase RoR. I'll try that on a future roast.

Hi, what is RoR? Thanks in advance
@giovannyt.6778
2 жыл бұрын
@@CoreanShorts Hi, RoR refers to the rate of rise and it's the rate at which the temperature is rising usually in 30 second increments.

@@CoreanShorts when you slow down the drum speed, the beans have longer surface contact with the drum increasing the heat transfer more rapidly.

It’s my understanding that the computer is not required for the roaster to operate. It’s required for firmware updates and logging, but the roaster is completely able to roast without a computer. Can you confirm this yet?
@loverspointcaprinesandcaff5256
2 жыл бұрын
That is absolutely correct. We've had to do a manual roast without roast time because their system was down. It worked perfectly fine.
