The book was wonderful and so was the film. N. D. Wilson is a great writer!

What did he mean by "suffer not the little children"? This is even more confusing because, on the surface, he seems to be negating something that Jesus said. By the way, the book is excellent, and Nate is a blast in person.

I wondered the same thing. I imagine he just misspoke.

He's quoting Christ (using the admittedly confusing KJV at that point) telling the disciples to allow the children to come to Him. He was saying you need to allow that child to go be with Christ, "suffer them not".

We certainly are in need of something new... or rather some force to awaken us to the reality that we continually ignore. There is a kingdom is hidden behind the veneer of this natural world. Once you see it, the comparison is breathtakingly obvious. You wonder how you missed it, and why others don't grasp it's reality. :)

Sorry for the typo... but I think it's understandable... Also, I'm wondering if perhaps these kinds of things are why American Christians are so completely ineffective in society. They just follow along like everyone else. How many are actually giving of their lives SACRIFICIALLY. Do we really count our lives as lost and as slaves to Christ? I don't see many working models of that.... I pray that your work helps open some eyes.

Yes! These are the exact things that I have been so frustrated by for so many years!! Everyone seems so completely blind and stupid to everything that surrounds them that it became something that I didn't deal with well and responded with anger from my frustration. I hope your message reaches a very wide audience!
