Without seeing the bottom of the airbox.......with the hole in the center where the air filter seats, it looks like a possible ram air effect design?? Yay or nay?

I put one of these units on my '22 Classic 350 along with the DNS filter and cover and the De-Cat pipe and it made a world of difference to the smoothness of the power delivery but it was still a little soft for me (my other bike is a CBR1000RR). I got a hold of the Kent cam and that did the trick. All the way through the unit performed flawlessly. Beautiful gray color to the plug. I am really impressed at the simplicity of the unit, especially having dealt with Power Commanders and the endless mapping for the forced air induction. My next bike is going to be a Super Meteor and I'm glad the installation is this simple. Great video. Cheers from SoCal 🏖

Does the tank need to be emptied before being detached? Then I wanted to know if after installation it is immediately ready to go or if it has to be programmed on the computer?
@TheSanMicheles
3 ай бұрын
you do not need to empty the gas tank although an empty gas tank is easier to move around. And the module connects to the bike automatically, once the green lights flash you are good to go ride :)

Thanks. Much appreciated. I was wondering if the intake is easily accessible to put a prefilter in? It would be useful when on a long trip in the desert where the dust is usually excessive and carring a spare uses valuable space and cleaning the filter somewhat difficult as you need to carry solvent and filter oil. I'll be ordering a DNA filter off you soon. PS, I love the Himalayan 450. Perfect cross between my 1200gs and DRZ. Looking forward to a long ride into the desert in July. Thanks again fir your videos. David

Hey there, No modification was made we found a technique of having the throttle at 100% before grabbing front brake would override the shut off. Takes a few goes to get the hang of it! Make sure you have a fair runway while practicing...
