I love writing with my Staedtler Marsmatic pens, more so than any fountain, gel or other pens. It might be because they seem to work well for a lefty, if you hold your pen straight up anyway.

I have not yet tried the Marsmatic but they sounds great and look similar to the Isographs, do you prefer them? Yes they took me a little while to get used to the angle/scratchyness but the flow is fantastic.

@@DK2rolla I only have a recent Koh-I-Noor technical pen, and a set of the Marsmatics that a college professor gave to me many years ago. The Marsmatics are very light and plastic-feeling, but they work well and I have become skilled at quickly taking them apart and cleaning them 😊 And I agree with you. I like the way the ink flows out perfectly and they write like no other type of pens.

So good! How did you learn to draw letter forms so well? On top of shit loads of practice.

Thanks alot Alana I appreciate that! I think you have to make it feel fun and find a style that you are genuinely interested and are motivated to learn. I started out by using brush pens and paper and just letting myself make mistakes without worrying about the result as much as learning the process. Having good alphabet inspiration to reference from a pinterest board or lettering book is great and don't be afraid to copy peoples work for practise, just by going through the motions you start to get an insight into the movements. The real/boring/annoying answer is lots of consistent practise over a few years 😅
