@21:11 you asked what we thought... Well, if you really want my honest opinion I don't think that fabric works (at least not how it comes across on my tv and phone), there's too much of a dirty yellow undertone. Personally I would go much, much darker, like very dark navy or actual black? Doesn't have to be solid, can be a dye jobby, but I would personally go darker to make the other colours pop. (You asked and you shall receive 😉) Anyway, whatever you do, I am sure it'll be gorgeous. Can't wait to see the end result!

One quick tip for the waterlilies is to go up one size in needle. It will make a slightly bigger hole and make less drag on the thread and help with the fuzzy. It’s a good tool for the kreinik as well. Enjoyed your video!! Look forward to seeing more flosstubes from you.

Cross stitch is the easiest craft in existence. I learned as a young child in the late 70’s. We obviously didn’t have the internet then and it truly isn’t necessary to start stitching. A couple seconds reading the directions and you’re good to go. If someone hasn’t tried cross stitch and think you need a class or it’s difficult or whatever-just jump in! It’s not hard and a lot of flosstubers act like it’s super complicated. The difference in skill level is negligible between a new stitcher and someone like me who’s been stitching for over 50 years. I don’t do anything different now than I did as a seven year old. Enjoy!

Sadly my first project as an adult had no directions - perhaps I should have started with a kit like a normal person 😂 I love all the tips and tricks for improving the look of my stitching that I’ve learned through Flosstube. Lovely to meet you! I love your style. My best friend has chronic migraines like you and the botox is the only thing that has helped her too, so since you're already doing that it seems like that's the most that can be done currently, which sucks. Have you looked at stamped cross stitch kits? That way you don't have to worry about counting at all, and I believe there are several that work with artists so they have a right to sell the stamped kits with their art.

Aww, thank you! I’m so sorry to hear your friend suffers too - it’s miserable! The Botox has helped lessen the muscular and tension pain for me, i just wish it helped with my vestibular symptoms! An infusion treatment was approved in the US a few years ago, and has been a game changer for many. I’m hopeful it helps more in future treatments. The struggle I have with cross stitch when it gets bad is mostly my eyes not being able to focus properly on linen or evenweave threads, so I’m adding Aida back in for my new projects. I need to check out some stamped kits though! Thank you so much for watching!
