This is for fellow Christians, I dont expect non Christians to understand this. I spent the summer of 2001 glued to the Chandra Levy case on CNN. Barbara would appear quite regularly on Larry King Live talking about the case. One time, perhaps in July 2001, I was watching LKL & I could see in the spirit that Jesus was surrrounding Barbara. After 911, I was shocked to find out that she was one of those that had died & then it had dawned on me why I saw Jesus around her. God was calling her during those summer months of 2001 to serve him cos she had such a short time to live. But I have no idea if she gave her life to Jesus before she died.

Caller at 34:30... I wonder how she felt days later? I don't believe in premonition or whatever...I'd just like to know what she thought, if anything? She should have played the lottery that day instead and made some money for herself. RIP Barbara. The world has missed you.

Pedro was four years older than me in 1994. MTV made a bold move. Pedro represented us young gays on tv for all to see, it just wasn’t wonderful that he was infected. But he spoke to us. He reminded his peers of our generation that we weren’t invincible. He educated millions on tv every week. Pedro became the face of Gen-X with AIDS, and we all paid attention. Pedro was a hero. I wish he had made it to 1996.

I cringed when I saw Olsen on TV. Her pleasant demeanor was misleading. She was an attack dog. She defended all the despicable things bush & his regime did. In this show she completely defended Clarance Thomas, the most corrupt hack ever to sit on SCOTUS. She didn’t care about just or impartial rulings. She didn’t care that Thomas was corrupt. She defended the 2000 election sham. Of course she did. She was completely dishonest. That’s her legacy. Olsen & all the other right wing hacks led to the Tea Party & MAGA freaks and Trump. She would’ve been a mutant MAGA member spreading lies and insanity. Just because she died on 9/11 in a plane should never erase all of the despicable things she was involved in. Why people are defending her shows their lack of character or concern for the country. Republicans do not care about this country remaining a democracy. They openly state they want Trump to be a dictator even after Trump said he wants to attack and hurt his perceived enemies. Trump also said he wanted to be able to assassinate political opponents. Yet, even with the countless unamerican things Trump & republicans have done that party still wants Trump. Those people are unethical, immoral and dishonest. Hell, they can’t even think coherently.

It was so strange to hear him say that HIV/AIDS was a death sentence bc he was right. Wow unbelievable how far things have come. My daughter is 27 and she doesn’t realize how serious it was/is . Her brother in law is HIV positive and she just doesn’t think it’s a big deal. But it IS still IMPORTANT. I hate to see people get numb to this, I know things have come so far that now people can live a full life span being HIV positive but it’s just not over, it’s not. I lived through the 80’s when it began to get so much attention bc it was running rampant, I remember the sad stories and the heartbreak of the families and friends of those who were deceased or actively sick and suffering. RIP to those who have passed from AIDS.

I met him when he lived in the same building as my best friend in Hialeah. I was 12. His English was pretty rough then, but after getting to know each other, we became fast friends. I wish I could have said goodbye. He was an important person in my life, and the life of so many other people, most that never had the pleasure of knowing him in real life. I still miss him. I wish today's medical strides were available to him then. RIP Pedro ( Peter to me )

I can't believe they didn't cut off that offensive caller calling a C-SPAN gues evil and having the devil and saying she wouldn't be around long. That was horrible! And neither the horrid Bill Press nor the host spoke up in her defense. Things were bad in 2001 and have only gotten worse. I remember. I'm sure that horrible woman was celebrating Ms. Olson's death two days later. And here we are twenty three years later with a country still suffering from Hillary Clinton's vendettas ... eventually against President Trump. She was spot on!

Let’s not engage in revisionist history. Barbara Olson was the original right wing crackpot making the rounds of the talk shows spreading misinformation and disinformation. She was obsessed, truly fixated, with sabotaging Hillary Clinton’s reputation. Had she not been killed on 9/11, she would have been right there cheering on the MAGA’s, a true believer and Trump cultist. The insanity eating away at American democracy did not start with Trump or even the Tea Party. It began with Reagan’s election. That’s when the far right religious zealots infiltrated the halls of power and Trump and January 6 are consequences. When I heard the news that Ms. Olson had been aboard one of the hijacked planes, my heart went out to her husband Ted and their kids. As deleterious as Ms. Olson’s actions were vis-à-vis American democracy - and some of her beliefs and views were outright vile - no one deserves what happened to her. I hope her suffering was brief, but for her loved ones the suffering will never end.

@@nickslick75 Well let's see she accused her of "making money off Hilary", "not having courage" (Barbara disproved that two days later when she bravely reported details about the evil monsters who ended her life and every one else on that flight" and being a "witch on a witch hunt". All of which is way outside the realm of a POV. And I don't believe for one minute that caller was a Republican (given her fawning for Bill Clinton and defending his adultery while at the same time getting on Barbara for writing about the wife he cheated on? That's someone who really can't make up her mind!) so that means the caller spammed the GOP line for the sole purpose of thinking it would be easier to ambush Barbara that way which means the caller in addition to being a bum with hindsight in light of two days later, was also a liar. (You are aware of what happened to Barbara are you?)
