Virtue as the Supreme Good: For the Stoics, virtue is the only true good and is sufficient to achieve happiness. Virtue is understood as the alignment of reason with nature and consists of living in accordance with reason, justice, courage, and moderation.

Epictetus: Slave philosopher who emphasized the importance of self-discipline and inner freedom.
Seneca: Roman politician and writer who applied Stoicism to practical and political life.
Marcus Aurelius: Roman emperor and philosopher, author of the "Meditations", a series of personal reflections on Stoic life and philosophy.
