10, 11, 12, 13 at LEAST are all Neurodivergent. I think that's a major reason I love DW so much. I see myself represented in the Doctor, and they don't need to mask their idiosyncrasies to fit in or dumb themself down for anyone. They excel and save the day with their unique view of the world, out of the box thinking, problem solving skills and retention for bizarre information, while also showing that it can be a lonely life when you don't have people around you who really see you or understand and appreciate you at your most authentic. Anyway, I'm glad other people see this too. Thank you

i agree. at least the modern run of the series has always displayed larger-than-life personalities that could in one way or another be considered neurodivergent. many of these in this video are more classically autistic traits. personally, i think try not to take the title too literally the others are definitely neurodivergent in some capacity too.

@@LeoGladmanMusic. neurodivergence does not mean autistic. autism is a form of neurodivergence. neurodivergence is an umbrella term for people who's brains work atypically. he is playing the role of an alien, but he himself is not, and cannot be an alien. he is an actor drawing upon human experiences to make us think he is an alien. the experiences pointed out in this video, are ones that many of us can resonate with as being neurodivergent characteristics. that's it bro. it's not that deep. "of course the alien in the fictional show acts weird" bro, yes, he does, and the way he acts can be seen as neurodivergent. it's not a big deal bro. you clearly don't know what neurodivergence is because you think that autism and neurodivergence are the same when they're not. because you think that an alien couldn't be neurodivergent, bro, animals can be neurodivergent, it stands to reason any biological, intelligent organism could have a percentage of the population who is neurodivergent. doctor who, as a time lord, is unique and eccentric even by time lord standards. he is atypical. even as an alien, by time lord standards, some of his behaviour could be explained by neruodivergence. and he's not an alien, he's a man acting an alien. it's not hard to understand. it's just a scientific term that describes people who are different than normal, and by normal, i mean "the average person" as far as science would be concerned.
@LeoGladmanMusic.

Gotta disagree, the entire Special Interests catagory fits in with the idea that he is from an advance time-based civilization! They are geeky! and complete nerds! Plus the entire meltdown section can just be described with "The Doctor doesn't want people to die" OR him simply not wanting others to get hurt? In the Licking/Putting things in his mouth section, a lot of the time its because he is either using his advance senses to detect things (like the A+ blood) or just holding things when it is needed. Like in New Earth he is holding it in his mouth since he lacks the hands to hold it, and he needs it quickly? These are just a few thing that I disagree with, but there are a few more that can really be described with "Its because of the situation" and "its a thing he generally does"
@vividtheprotogen
12 күн бұрын
Also, the shuses thing was just cause his mind was LITERALLY breaking apart post regeneration. In the library scene its assumed he's listening to the sonic, so it needs to be quiet to hear it. He Doesn't want to settle down... because he is the doctor??? its a TRAIT that he has lived this life before (and had a family) but didn't want to be it anymore! So he stole a tardis and ran away! Also the tardis changing thing was just a gag from "The Three Doctors". The forgetful bit was just him being rude to mickey. He pets K9... since its a dog, yes its robotic but it was still like his dog to him, so he pets it accordingly. (I just wanted to say more, though I just wanna say this video is AMAZINGLY made, I don't dislike the work quality of it, I just disagree with quite a few of the points in it.)
