Pretty impressive numbers for a 400cc though I've been riding 100+ HP bike for so long I'd missed the power. Seems like it would be a great back roads bike for the corners.

I don't think gearing should make any difference in peak horsepower or torque but it might make it feel more powerful. I'm not an engineer but I'm pretty dang sure.

The gearbox is a torque multiplier, I don't understand what's not clear about that.. The horse power can't be altered tho, been that it's the sum of that torque, but multiplied by speed, so, it's a short blanket case, pretty much.. Although, it would've made much bigger numbers, if not so tighten up.

52hp from rear wheel is normal from stock 92. German model is constricted to this "42hp" stock. Just remove the pricks between carb and head. I would not call this any kind of modifying. Just releasing the stock power.

hello, just got a bandit 400 and cleaned and synced the carbs, yet have a strange issue - bike will not drop rpms after giving it gas, I am about to get and re check alll carbs but thought maybe you have ran into such issue ? also it doesn't really want to idle. . .
@jonliss2795
8 жыл бұрын
I've found that the diffrent temps will screw with your carbs so try and screw around with jet sizes and dont run pump gas that is your enemy with carberated stuff i run 100 octane ave gas it has a lead aditive that acts as a lubricant and also dont run black fuel line you can get clear fuel line at lowes the have it pre cut just look for clear line because the fuel eats the black fuel line so it puts deposits in your carbs you can get ave gas at a air port you will probably need a metal can to purchas it let alone pump it for you because plastic cans have static so yeah if ya need more let me know
@pashaATX

Thank you for such informative reply ! Got clear fuel line now. And found some bad orings, replaced those. And got it to run. ..still wants to be completely warmed up to idle but is now in much better shape mechanically. Thank you !!!!
