Tywin needs to get his facts straight. Balerion died around 200 years ago not 300 :D

It was a rare scene of Joffrey acting wise in the face of and against the position of Tywin. Of course, it could just be that Tywin was downplaying the threat so as not to set off the loose cannon that is his grandsons. That wasn't a typo, it was an incest joke. Now Cersei remained a fool to the end. Foolish here in doubting the girthy threat of a dragon, like Balerion's skull that outsizes you isn't under the freaking Red Keep. He grew that large, hence they can grow that large, YOU have no idea how long it takes them to grow that large, and still the misplaced bravado. Foolish in the end when she believed elephants would save the day. Although I don't 100% fault her character for that, everyone became stupid in those last seasons.

Viserys had nothing but hate and jealousy for Dany. He wanted to be considered "The Dragon", when deep down he knew wasn't a dragon of any kind. Viserys was too stupid to understand that these people were only returning the love and respect that his sister had shown them from day 1. No one would want him to be king after seeing how treats his own sister!

Tywin said that dragons haven't won the war in 300 years and first I was like... yeah? But then I realized they did not win in Dorne and also in the Dance it really was armies at the end, not the dragons. Even the small Stepstones thing was at the end not won by dragons.

Joffrey’s talk of a professional army kind of makes me want a Game of Thrones story about the transition from a medieval to early modern world.

For them? Because that would have to span over a course of centuries in order to get to a point where they have the equivalent of the 1800's, which is considered the beginning of the modern era since that's when technology took off.

Jorah is an idiot. He knows how harenhall burned for days because of Aegon. He knows there were dragon skulls in the Red Keep. Yet he refuses to believe there used to be dragons. What does he think the Dragon Pit was made for? For housing dogs?

Ah, Viserys. Such a sad story really. I mean, imagine everything that he went through all starting at five. Losing his entire family except his little sister. Having to leave the only home he ever knew. All the while having to fear for his life and the life of his sister. Selling all they had that tied them to their history. Knowing that the entire Targaryen dynasty rested on him. No wonder the pressure broke him.

Joffrey could start a royal army. First of all, he would need to organise the crownlands and have them gradually replace the westerlanders in King's Landing.

Going from the golden age of Targaryens and dragons in HOTD to the last remaining Targaryen in GOT is crazy to see. Daenerys is really the first dragonlord to bring back the power and nobility of the old Targaryen Dynasty, not in 20 years, but in ages
