Me too. I think that was the problem with the series, they didn't focus more on the characters in the show. When they add a character who time travels back in time to "warn" them about the future. That destroyed it. It should've shown Krypton's beginning, how they evolved, and how what they evolved to led to their destruction. Maybe show the other planets that were featured in the comic books, maybe show For-El, Lara, For-El, Allura, Zod, and Fiora traveling from other planets to try and find a new home for Krypton. Some were not the best choices, others the worse but then they find Earth and they did decide to go there but for conquering not to live peacefully. Jor-El and For-El had to stop Zod when he was about to take over Krypton and prepare for an Earth invasion. They succeed but Krypton is still going to be destroyed. The series finale would be when Kal-El is sent on his journey to Earth while Jor-El and his wife Lara locked in an embrace as Krypton is destroyed.

My guess is she wasn't. This was 20 years before the destruction of Krypton which would make it 1966 in Earth time. In the episode Lara, she seemed to be like 17-18 (seemed like a teenager not yet in her 20's) so my guess is that this was about 2 years before Kara was born. I just don't see there being a 20+ year age difference in the ages of Clark & Kara despite how Kara did not physically age when she was stuck all those years in her ship in Reeves Dam. But for all we know she could've been an infant since we're never told. My guess is that she was born when the civil war ended during Krypton's own "baby boom" period that would've happened once things stabilized. I think with the civil war and the events that led to it, Zor-El and Kara's mother were too busy and concerned with other things to have had a child at that moment.

He only turned because Jor-El refused to bring his wife and kid back to life from their stored DNA. The friendship dynamic of Zod and Jor-El here is one of the many reasons I preferred Callum Blue's take on the character versus what Michael Shannon or even Terrence Stamp did with Zod. Callum and the writers brought depth to the character that had not been there before.

Come on! Do the creators of this show have any imagination at all? The Kryptonians are supposed to be a super-advanced culture with dimensional portals, superluminal propulsion, gravity manipulation, etc. and yet they still have not progressed beyond trench warfare and nuclear bombs?! PLEASE! By now they should be able to harness energy from their ionosphere and use that to obliterate multiple cities in an instant!

What if Kandor wasn't destroyed and Jor-El & Zod at the time just incorrectly assumed it was? What if Brainiac, probably through time travel because I'm pretty sure he wasn't yet created, "imploded" Kandor into a pocket dimension much like the Phantom Zone to preserve it? Furthermore, what if that pocket dimension was the same one as New Krypton that the Kandorians went to after the Book of Rao was used in Salvation, where Kandor of the original Krypton was sent there to be the capital city? It would be reminiscent of the Survival Zone in the comics. It would mean that Brainiac caused the rift between Zod & Jor-El that wouldn't have existed until he time traveled to cause it. It also explains how he got his hands on Davis' (Zod's son's) DNA and attached it to Clark's ship when he went back to Krypton. I always assumed that scene in Apocalypse right before Kara crushes him under that block she's holding when Brainiac is laughing implies that he was saying wait and see what there is in store for you as a result of him putting Davis'/Doomsday's DNA on Clark's ship to alter time so that despite his death, Clark & Earth would be screwed: kzitem.info/news/bejne/yIFjqmSFcWScZII It makes even more sense when you consider how neither Zod nor Faora were scientists, so if anyone knew how to splice the DNA of Zod's son with that of Doomsday, it would've been Brainiac back before Krypton was destroyed (for Faora to be aware of & remember as seen in Bloodline) so a copy of Brainiac from the modern era who time traveled back to Krypton would know exactly where his past self would've stored that genetic material so he could attach it to Clark's ship.

@@SangreFriasBack It was all fucked & inexplicable. In season 5 we're told Zod destroyed Krypton but earlier we know that the red star of Krypton blew up and took the planet with it, which no Kryptonian could have caused. Then around season 7 there was one of those side projects (maybe a web series) that explained some mining operations by Zor-El caused the destruction but it was all BS because in the end, it was the star that destroyed it. The writers couldn't get their shit together regarding the destruction of Krypton and just blamed whichever villain/threat was active at the time. But in the end, it was destroyed much like it was in the Donner film and much like it was destroyed as seen in season 2 when the constellation of the wolf as mentioned by Kyla was missing an eye where Krypton & its star were once located.

@wtcvidman

@@SangreFriasBack Normally I'd agree but after thinking, would it really? I know it took Clark 3 years to make the trip from Krypton to Earth in his ship and if I remember correctly, when stars supernova, their light can be seen so long as the star is far enough that it takes the light it emitted longer to reach Earth or the satellite taking images of it than the time elapsed since the star was destroyed. I remember that a light year is the distance light travels within a year, which is about 6 trillion miles. So if it took Clark's ship 3 years to make the trip, then surely the distance between Earth & Krypton must be much less than 3 light years, since as fast as Clark's ship may have been compared to human made space traveling vessels/shuttles, there's no way it was traveling at the speed of light or anywhere even close to it. Even if it was possible for it to travel that fast, the impact at that speed would've destroyed the ship, destroyed Smallville & perhaps the Earth when the momentum is considered and would've easily killed Clark. The ship would have to be as fast as the Flash to travel that fast. Also, when we're showed Clark's ship passing through space, it is not even seen traveling that fast, but appears rather slow. I doubt Jor-El had the time to make it travel as fast as the fastest Kryptonian ships were able to travel given his deadline & Krypton's impending doom. So I think there is a decent explanation to this one.
