Great! Liked the color combination. My pirate model ship was actually first launched on the day of a pirate festival.

I just bought a similar fiberglass sail dinghy and would like to give it a bit of a wooden feel/appearance. Would you be willing to share your knowhow? I'd appreciate it.

Good to hear. I'm down in the lower South Island, and have the plans to build. Hope to start possibly this winter. So far yours is the only one I've found in NZ. Do you know of any others?@@WayneTimmo-uy5hu

Hi, I'm pretty slack on the vid front. Not as much sailing as I'd like due to weather and time issues but the days out are great fun. She's a better boat than I am a sailor! I'll rustle up some footage one day

If you mean the creases across the poorly set main then that's from the first outing where nothing had been adjusted yet. She's somewhat better now.

Lovely job! I'm building the standing lug yawl version, though I fear not to the same quality as yours. Interesting that you went with Monsieur Vivier's recommended chain and wedge to secure the mast - do you find it satisfactory? Great video thanks!

Thanks. I love the chain and wedge. It's so simple and quick and works far better than I expected.

Hello, You have built a very nice boat, and in a short time... Congratulations on a well finished and enjoyable job. I built the same one (Val-ès-Dunes) between 2000 and 2004, and it is a little different: daggerboard, floor following the bottom and third sail, without jib. You made a very good choice, and your plan to go cruising (like Roger BARNES) delights me. Kind regards from Normandy

any chance of a video of how you rigged the sheets? I'm working on doing a similar set up on a bomb vessel and would appreciate some pointers

Have a look at the build log here. modelshipworld.com/topic/10439-cruizer-class-brig-by-timmo-136-scale-radio-finished/page/4/ there's plenty of tips from Jerry Todd who I used for guidance and links to his very detailed builds. the main thing is to keep tension on the brace lines if they are on drum winches. On most it worked with just pulling the line tight and on one it needed a small weight hung on the line under the deck near the servo.
