29:34 again I am overwhelmed by his insight in the human frail condition. My heart was broken after a tragic divorce but Jesus of Nasarev was my CATCHER. THANK YOU LORD. FOR your love and embrace.

Thank goodness for Henri. Now I understand my own disabilities. And I am vulnerable and that’s ok! I was in Toronto! A beautiful experience.

His rebuke to the Catholic Community in Harvard Sq., Cambridge, Ma. (St Pauls Church), who invited him to come from Canada and speak there, was about Eugenics, not the type that will terminate the life of people who are dying from a definitively diagnosed painful terminal illness, but those who are considered physically defective in appearance, such as those considered by society to be the ugliest and most annoying labeled mentally ill or those with severe birth defects that society calls them and are the type Henri Nouwen was caring for and made a Community for in Canada. That rebuke written in 1989 a record of his talk to the privileged pretty people community of Harvard Sq., has disappeared from online, and today the St Paul's Church does not include these unwanted classes of people in their protests against euthanasia at the Massachusetts State House in Boston, because they simply deny that it is occurring, the same way Nazi Germany was censored from any protesting against the killing of the mentally ill and certain defective unwanted German children and handicapped but considered defective adults, all before the Concentration Camp program was fully underway. Then mental institutions became obsolete. St Paul himself used this word "obsolete" in reference to the Old Covenant of the Sacred Scriptures but of course he was not referring to abolishing the Law just as Jesus said he was not there to do, but to fulfill it. Henri Nouwen used something like a parable of a strictly Old Testament Rabbi to rebuke the pretty people (expression from Bob Dylan's like a rolling stone song), of the Harvard University Community in 1989, young people who were thinking up answers to the question posed by the Rabbi, what the light of day/dawn meant, and their answers were very finite, regarding physical objects that could be seen. But the answer was way back there even to when YHWH struck Moses sister Miriam with leprosy, and while Moses and Aaron pleaded for her, they mentioned babies being born with their faces half eaten off by leprosy, and by that reminding the pretty people of the timelessness of God, and of their own mortality that is still not obsolete, no matter what the advances science has made in plastic surgery for them to keep pretty looking according to the standards of their New World Order.

Thank you for sharing this video. So few of Henri speaking out there and as usual this was a real treasure. Like Merton and Vanier, we need more people to hear Henri Nouwen and take his words to heart.

I am a Catholic priest of a missionary congregation. Experiencing lots of problems and negativities , I left my congregation and eventually stopped being a priest. Got married, raised a family. Upon reading some free books of his I experienced strange feeling that I want to be a priest again. Church cannons frustrates me. Henri’s videos are very enlightening, inspiring. Thanks a lot
