Absolutely brilliantly put together. I used to go to Thornley Juniors in the 70s, I remember Thornlaw North and South, sadly gone now to make way for new builds. Wonder if those houses on Coopers close were really moving due to soft foundations

Ah i remember Mr Thubron on his horse drawn cart around Thornley, brings back memories. I remember Barnetts the butcher, no relation but used to help Matty Barnett on the mobile butcher van and also helping out at Kirks. Bill and Gibson Kirk, both very talented guys despite their disability,

some canny lads live over there first job a ever done there was to renew the chinese takeaway front back in the 80s the model, tony dave carr ronnie lee, loads more, and arthur the lab, mick thubran joiner and me trevor fleck worked with all of them on and off, peter lee gud motorbike friend
