One of the best movies ever. Laugh cry and be surrounded by the 50's

Actually the scene at 12:00 makes more sense to grown ups than any scene in this picture, especially for people who had a big dream that didn’t happen or blamed someone else because you had to get married because you got someone pregnant. Wow!

I was raised in the 50s and 60s and no wonder She was so nostalgic, for it. Who was the girl in the wheel chair and where was Scott her son?

Very Nostalgic I had a dream like this once I went back to my childhood home and saw my mother & grandmother there in the dream. It even smelled like my old home. My mom was in the kitchen frying chicken with gravy & rice. I woke up realizing it was just a dream.

This is gonna piss off so many Copalla fans, but this was actually his best film. It really was.

One of his best. It's hard to compare a movie like this one to "The Godfather" or "Apocalypse Now." Those films had a lot more impact, but this one has a lot more meaning, and, of course, no violence, no one being murdered.

My brother & I used to watch this movie all the time. I was really little so I couldnt understand how nic cage jim Carey could look old than young. Obviously it's much easier to cast younger guys as they were in their early 20s and make them look older with make up than the other way around. I loved this movie seeing it years later thinking how we dont realize how lucky we are to be in high school and too bad we cant go back in time knowing now what we could go back in time to do. It's very true that the guys who were nerds or outcasts really grow into themselves while the popular kids once hs is over realized they already peaked. Or as they aged are not the adorable guys they were. Also I really never noticed that nic cage made his voice so odd not sure why. His uncle who directed didnt like it but I guess it's hard to direct family. I like the last scene a lot . With peggy knowing how hard their life will be after getting pregnant at 18 and Charlie was just an idealistic kid with no clue about how life gets in a long marriage and ur dreams not coming true or how he says basically how his dad sells appliances and chases women around the store which is exactly what he turns out doing. Doesnt this really remind u of that boyfriend u had in high school when u think ur both gonna be in love forever and u have ur whole life ahead of u?. I do have to say I wanted to marry my first serious boyfriend from high school right away thank god he knew for both of us that he didnt think we should wind up marrying the first person we ever loved and slept with. I checked out his fb page and as cute and thin as he was he has not aged well at all. Not saying looks are everything but I heard he doesnt work bc he quit college when u begged him not to. He wound up marrying a much older woman for her money and I heard he cant stand her and hates his life. Just glad I dodged that bullet and I always say to my husband I'm so glad we met at the perfect age and waited to get married and have kids bc again I met him at 22 and wanted to get married right away and have kids. My cousin married his first girlfriend she was very pretty but a strange one she pushed him.to get married at 24 she wanted to get pregnant immediately they had their first child a month b4 their 1st wedding anniversary and had 4 kids by 29. Hes a miserable alcoholic and its bc he didnt live his life wait it have kids and it's sad he cheats on her and bc if the kids he stays as does she. They used to be so in love. I remember when they got married a month later she was crying that she wasnt pregnant yet. I said why dont u enjoy marriage fir a few years have ur first child at 27 and she was not happy I said that. Esp where I live in ny people dont even get married until after 30 and start having their kids in their mid 39s which I think is very different from the rest if the country. I think bc it's so expensive to live here.

My favorite scene, not included here, is when her friends walk her out the door of her high school to take her home after she fainted at the blood drive. She’s confronted by a driveway filled with ‘50s cars, and that’s when she really is hit that she’s gone back in time to 1960.

I was 16 the first time I saw this film & I cried. I'm now 45 & it still elicits tears. If, like me, you made a huge mistake in choosing a mate, perhaps you'll understand.

YES! Movies that remind me of my grievous error, and what could've been, and the "what ifs," make my heart ache. Coincidentally, my fateful marriage took place on August 1st of 1986. This movie was released two months and nine days later.

Totally I totally understand baggett. I’m just glad that I still have my sisters in my life. I have two wonderful sisters. I love them dearly, but it breaks my heart when I watch this movie I really wish I could go back in time. Everyone kept telling me don’t do it! don’t do it,! but I did it anyway being the stupid dummy I was. I do cry watching this and I love the music. Oh it’s so beautiful.
