I am going to get some of that polish... I have been using bar keepers friend in a similar manner, then coating it with either turtle wax or the ceramic spray wax.... Keeps it shiny a long time, and the water really beads up; nothing sticks.

Inexpensive? You know how much wood costs these days? Lol jokes aside.... most dogs that dig under fences will still dig right underneath that... i recommend taking a claw hammer and digging a thin trench about 3 inches deep and then (using your method) put your screws (easier if put them in before dropping the board in) on the side thats sticking out...

I found the simplest solution was to listen to my dad. He asked me what the problem was, I told him my dog keeps digging holes underneath the fence and getting out. He straight up Told me, go up to him and smack him whenever you see him doing that. show him who is the alpha show him he lives here he does not own this house. Works every time! (Owner of 7 big dogs here) Gotta start them young and show them discipline.

@dgamada23

Even if you do, you'd have to dig on both sides of the fence to comfortably go through, unlike the fence, the wood doesn't bend or stretch so it'd be super uncomfortable, given dogs aren't as smart as you. Either way it's been about 3 years and it's still like it is when I made this video, which means it worked for my dogs, it's not for everyone but it's what I did and it worked for me.

You seem like a good guy. And you get an A+ for effort and taking the time to share this w others. The thing is , its 2021 now and that $5 board is probably$12 now lol . My dogs would just chew those cheap zip ties right off there and then they would play w that board and probably chew it up as well lol. Then they would remember , o yeah let me climb under the fence again. I m sure you helped alot of people out tho w your video sir. Good job and thank you for your time

Hahaha thanks for the kind comment. Yeah that was my intention, I knew it wasn't for every dog but it's been 3 years and its still doing its job, who knew the price of lumbar will climb up that high lol. I hope you find something that will work for your fur babies.

Just use metal zip ties. My 5 Pitbulls and two Rottweilers still cannot get back over to the other side this idea was genius and it’s been 2 years. The only thing I did different was purchased a longer board from pole to pole and that way they’ll have to break the entire board and I put pvc piping along side meaning zip locked it on the boards for extra support. Total cost approximately $112
