Watching this took me back to my first marathon. At mile 22 I hit a wall. Everything from the neck down was telling me to stop. My quads and hamstrings were cramping so bad and my entire lower body was in so much pain. I tried to stretch my quad and got a cramp in my hamstring and when I straightened my leg out I got a cramp in my quad. I literally just started jogging again, more like a fast walk lol. Everyone around me probably thought there was something wrong with me cause I was talking shit to myself. I’m telling myself “Suck it up you piece of shit and put one foot in front of the other one, what would your kids think of you if you just quit”. I continuously kept repeating that to myself and it took about a mile and I got through it and finished the last 3 miles on a 10:15/mile pace. When I crossed the finish line it was one of the best feelings in the world then about 5 minutes after when my body realized I’m done. THE PAIN SET IN. Holy shit. Here I am a few years later with 3 more marathons under my belt and I love the pain and the challenge. It’s so easy to quit when it starts getting hard. You figure some shit out about yourself when your in a dark place like that. Hats off to you for pushing as hard as you did. Put this in your back pocket and use it as motivation for the next one.

I can relate to Fabrice so much. I started drawing architecture from a very young age and up until my late teens I did alot of work, I gave up on it though after I became disalluationed with art and through my 20s I did some little doddles and random images, these became the norm for me but I lost interest in art altogether In 2017 I did a random A4 York Minster drawing, first proper piece I'd done in years, then it clicked that I actually enjoyed doing it, I started doing more drawings over a period and even attempted cars for the first time, it was a long struggle and even mentally challenging. Since 2017 I've done loads of pieces of buildings, cars, and even trucks, even doing larger size drawings (A2) which I never thought would be possible, but am proud of what I've achieved and so happy to be doing what I enjoy most...Art. When he talked about the guilt associated with not doing art, I related to that so much. Brought a tear to my eye. I feel like I’ve lost my passion and idk how to get it back.
