I am very tough and just built different, and can very much handle a rough ride, but jackhammering is the line. Red-side Racer at King's Island before it was retracked obliterated me because I thought it'd be fun to sit in a wheel seat. Never again.

I got to ride everything else at every park we went to but hulk is what i was looking forward to most. Glad ypu got to ride ge force, because Germany is much further to go than Florida.

Mystery Mine was better when it was new. It's gotten rougher as it's gotten older. Wish I would have gotten to ride Rougarou when it was Mantis. Firehawk was tons better than Nighthawk. I can agree with that. Wish we would have had Nighthawk replaced with Firehawk. Again, Kiddy Hawk was better when it was new. It's a Kiddy coaster that's gotten rougher over the years. I'm glad I rode Blue Hawk instead of Ninja. Blue Hawk is a good ride. Vortex at KI was better than Carolina Cyclone. I hate Carolina Cyclone. Probably the worst old arrowlooper I've ever been on. I've ridden it twice and will most likely never ride it again.

The thunderbolt at six flags new england was rough AF when i went a couple weeks ago. The operator was intentionally missing the stop line to give everyone a second ride. I had hit every coaster in the park at least twice, front row of the superman a couple times. When the thunderbolt pulled back into the station I felt battered, dizzy, sweaty and nauseous. The operator missed the stop line. I said to one of the attendants, "can I get off that was too rough I feel sick" and they said "cant let you off park rules enjoy the ride". Fortunately it was the last thing we were doing before we left because i never wanted to leave somewhere so bad in my life.

Some wooden coasters can give you rough, but fun, ride. Or as a fellow coaster fan fried of mine once quipped, "There's nothing like a rough ride on a good woody"! --ahem-- Here are some of my choices: 1) The Steel Phantom at Kennywood before it was redone as the Phantom's Revenge. As the former, it was those head restraints and four inversions that were painful. Now as the latter, it remains one of the best coasters out there. 2) The Wild Mouse at Idlewild Park. This thing really could beat you up. This thing was so bad, they actually had signs up showing the right way to brace yourself on the ride. That Idlewild bought this ride third hand--after two short stints at other parks--should tell you something. 3) Mean Streak at Cedar Point. 4) Shock Wave at Six Flags Great America (Gurnee). I believe it's a sister coaster to the Great American Scream Machine. I've never experienced as much back and neck pain as I've had on that coaster. 5) The Demon also at Six Flags in Gurnee. It's an older, smaller, less painful (but still painful) version of Shock Wave.

Wildcat is beautifully smooth now! Even before it was renovated, it wasn’t that bad. The old Riverside Cyclone was 10 times more bone crushing. But 100% agree with you on Gwazi. I love roller coasters…and that one sucked!!! Glad they converted it.

Families bring in the money. With family coasters the parks have more money to invest into theming the park and adding new attractions

Well, I've never been on any of these. I've only been on many of the rollercoasters in Southern California over the years. I've heard many complaints about many of them, but they never really bothered me. The one coaster that I distinctly remember being overly rough was Psyclone at Six Flags Magic Mountain (now gone). That thing was the worst. I don't even know why I rode it more than once over the time that it was there. Ugh. Perhaps a runner up at the same park was Flashback (also now gone).

The viper at six flags great adventure was extremely painful in every way it would just beat the heck out of your whole body it’s been torn down and scraped now I hope they scrapped it but they made good with it’s replacement which is now eltoro which is my most favorite wooden roller coaster I ever rode but yeah viper was a Togo coaster and I remember how painful it was.

The arrows Corkscrew/mega loopers I've ridden aren't even rough. I have ridden KI vortex, Anaconda and Michigan's Adventure Corkscrew and more. Wait until you ride Hades 360, that ride is unbearably rough and is in desperate need of rmc or titan track or precut. It also has the sole spot to be the only coaster to actually cause any sort of lasting pain/discomfort for me. Horrible coaster. Rougarou has loads headbanging, but it's still better than Valravn.

Gwazi was so rough at the end of its life! Shock Wave at Six Flags Great America before it was torn down was exceptionally painful. Matterhorn at Disneyland, Hulk at Universal Studios Orlando, American Eagle at Six Flags Great America, and any of those old Arrow Dynamics coasters from the 70s and 80s will give you a traumatic brain injury.

That's my home park!! There are more good coasters there than just Fury. Afterburn is a fantastic invert. Copperhead Strike is an amazing multi-launch. Thunder Striker, while a dumb named coaster (preferred the Intimidator name) is a solid hyper. And I have a soft spot for Gold Rusher and Woodstock Express, our little family coasters. I will admit though that Nighthawk, Kiddy Hawk, Hurler, Carolina Cyclone, Flying Cobras, and Vortex are pretty rough though. I used to love Vortex too.

The OG Coney Island Cyclone will rattle your teeth…the Magnum XL200 at Cedar Point has gotten too rough for me anymore..(it badly needs a new train/restraint design)… but for me by far was the old Mean Streak at Cedar Point…by far the most painful coaster i’d ever ridden by the time it was closed … (luckily RMC came in and rescued that ride turning it into the fantastic Steel Vengeance)

Bringing up those old arrow corkscrews reminded me of my home park's disaster of one in Steamin' Demon at Great Escape. The moment after the turnaround right before you enter the 1st corkscrew you hit the bottom of the hill *banked at a 60 degree angle* so you get thrown to the right while hitting a patented Arrow transition of roughness before those corkscrews whiplash you to the left. If you're not braced for this moment your head will smack both sides of the restraint so violently.
