Canada's domestic problems are far greater than any foreign problems. Housing and healthcare are destroying Canada. We don't have time to worry about every war American wants to goad the world into.

The training is designed and teach people not to question and just follow. It does not teach and discourages independent thought. There is mostly useless things being taught and focused on. Concerns people have about the course and training will be withheld inside and concerns being brought up will be shot back at them and never make it to the top to fix. The tools they train you on is faulty and nerfed in many ways and if independent thought was had an allowed, people even there being trained could figure out work arounds to use even the nerfed gear better than the way you are being shown. Independent thought is needed and needs to be a strong focus because when you are in combat, you might be a team, but the spot and position you are in, a lot of the times you are alone and need to make very quick judgement calls on how to act or pause. Canada and USA training for the military needs to be revamped completely so that people can learn better and more input is listened to and considered and makes it to the top as you shouldn't keep trying to teach methods that don't work or are not the most efficient.
@Panacea9

Independent thought is essential as you will hear tricks from the enemy,(within the system or external). The people get programmed to take instruction and it works on people in combat who are looking for it. You can't listen to instructions such as put your arm near the tiger, go close to that bear, wave your hands at the shark and whatever non sense people do to try to hurt you. This will actually happen. Dominated people will listen. It isn't just malicious. People have garbage ideas a lot of the time in combat environments and listening to a paniced person that is too stressed to function who might be in charge is not a good way to work, They should be found first if they are going to lead a team though those people seem to make it through in every country.

I have a problem with how exclusive the recruitment is. I tried to enlist at 18 years old and was rejected for my eyesight alone, not mentioning that I'm flat-footed, and have respiratory allergies. Now at 44 I'm even less fit to be enlisted. Yet, I wouldn't fear to give my life if we were in a worse case scenario situation. But I have no training whatsoever. The russians could invade us from the North, and all I can do is watch it happen sitting on my couch. I still can learn to shoot, with what I tried I'm actually a decent shot. I can perform first aid, I'm resilient af, and there are way less people who would miss me if I go. There should be a "better than nothing" branch imo.

Okay but what are the day to day activities like? Marksmanship skills, operations, strategy, etc, you know, the things you actually want to be doing Is probably something you only do for a grand total of a couple weeks a year outside of BMQ and whatever mandatory training afterwards right? So what, you show up every other weekend or whatever the mandatory minimum is, do paperwork, inspect equipment, take stock, etc? Maybe if you're a driver, you're taking a handful of guys to and from their posts, or if you're a mechanic, probably fixing or running diag on some vehicles yeah?

Fyi, I am in the recruiting process atm and I will stop the recruiting process and stop my plans of joining CAF if they get rid of the oath to the British monarchy. So to answer your question I doubt dropping the monarchy oath will gain recruits, if anything it will make them loose even more. Don’t like the monarchy then move to America. God save the King 😄

Tampons in men’s rooms,Pronoun training ,anti common sense drills,leftists admiration indoctrination and people promoted because of diversity not skill. The new sissy forces will soon be taking our rights away in the name of inclusiveness. There now a joke to veterans.

There’s no tampons in the men’s washroom lol and doesn’t matter if you’re LGBT, in Ukraine that’s guys are killing Russian troops and posting it online for their friends and family to laugh at lol it’s about professionalism. Being macho means nothing. And as for diversity, Canada is a diverse country and that’s its strength. You’re an immigrant if you’re not indigenous. Real Canada doesn’t speak English or French. It speaks Odawa or Ojibway. Stop being an American wannabe. You’re not American. You’re Canadian. Grow up and mature. Real men don’t give a shit about LGBT because it doesn’t affect them.
