It is very relaxing to watch the video without any comments but just the surrounding sounds. Just between you and me, your itinerary mentions a camping spot in Val Ferret. Was it Arnouva Val Ferret after Hotel Val Ferret before you go back up toward Refugio Elena or between Camping Les Tronchey and Arnouva Val Ferret? I am thinking it could be possible to discretely sleep in the wooded area of Arnouva, after sun down and before sun up. (if needed and no other choice). Thank you and have nice hikes!

Finally a great video of the TMB! Pure scenery with great shots, beautiful music and a smart editing. No unbearable talking or filming of irrelevant things. Thank you for taking us to the TMB with you and congratulations for an inspiring video!

Sublime video. I love the locked down still shots a la Kraig Adam’s, but also some aspects of Erik Normark (the thumbs up!), but you also show your own take on viewing and experiencing the trail. It reminds me of my own TMB walks in 2007 and 2016, and it’s an inspiration for my TMB hike this summer with my new wife. The tranquility of each scene and the stateliness of the unmoving mountains, really capture the grandness and magic of the peaks and valleys. I’m curious what your gear setup is. Would you have a resource I can take a gander at?

I just must add one more comment.... as the scene after Refuge du Lac Blanc at 25min11sec is so beautiful. The lake and surrounding rock, mirror effect and the sky is just outstanding. Perfectly frozen in your camera. Good job❤

Did the same Hike in April. Slept by the exact same hut the first night. Excellent views! Although I don't remember the Hexatrek-signs. Maybe I just didn't notice them. Is the Hexatrek marked through the entire Vosges already? I'm planning to complete the crossing of the Vosges next week - if I don't melt in the sun.

Yes they put up all the signs in early May I think. I did another Vosges section from Saverne to Barr, which I enjoyed very much. Will post a video soon. Thanks for your comment and happy trails in the Vosges

Great video, enjoyed every second, thanks for making it. Seems like you had fun :) Can you tell me how cold it was during the nights? I'm planning this trip with my dog (with alternate routes to avoid national reserves where no dogs are allowed), and I'd like to know what gear to take for him. Once again, thanks for the video. Happy hiking!

Hey Julian, thanks for your comments. It was a wonderful experience that I enjoyed very much. It's not that hard, I would say easy to moderate with fenetre d'Arpette being the hardest pass to climb, but you can avoid it, which I did to save my legs, and took the normal trail route. For training, do day or 2 days hikes with 1000 m elevation gain. If you are camping, it's important you test your material. I also walk 5-10 km everyday and climb stairs to stay fit. Hope this help. Go for it, you won't regret it. Good luck.
