Man I love this so much and it means so much. I listened to this on repeat about 11 years ago when I was made redundant and had to move back to my parent’s home in newcastle after 2 years in london. I was lost and lonely but this fucker was a comfort blanket. Now I’m 38 with a missus and a 2 year old kid and life is good, but I still go back to this. Enjoy everyone.

Samantha Hoy I agree! I really think Alex L. is the weak point in the band. I don't really care for how he plays bass. It's just so...bleh

+GreenIce101 Stylistically for TGA, it's perhaps a positive thing that their typical basslines aren't showy. I mean, my two cents, but I think their music meshes well with a simple bassline that kind of just sits in the background and brings everything together cohesively. I really couldn't see...like...Flea playing bass in TGA for instance.

I'm not saying he has to be Thunderfingers rocking the bass, but ya know... root notes

As someone who constantly teeters back and forth between lucero and gaslight being my favorite band I really couldn't disagree more! Brian and Ben are worlds apart on their song writing. While both of them write a lot about people who have broken them in their past, their approach is totally different. They both also have a beautiful unique gravel in their voice, but even that is apples to oranges.

That's a very astute observation, and I think a valuable life lesson on the importance of "just going for it" and taking all the bad with the good, because the challenging aspects give the good a "character" that, while challenging at first, ultimately leaves you much more deeply, and uniquely, satisfied.
