Could use the plucker for wild older ducks say 2 years old ?!

Arthur Blackburn I’ve never done that but probably useful but they’re not going to come out this clean. The pin feathers are going to be your issue on an older duck. My guess is that unless you get lucky and hit them during a molt you’d want to wax them to get all of the pin feathers.

So weird that they came out so clean. So many homesteaders complain that the drum plucker doesn't do more than about 50% plucking

googIed if they aren’t processed during a moult (7-8) weeks then the plucker is going to be worthless. The second consideration is the scald. You’ll need a proper scald as demonstrated in this video. If both criteria are met then they will come out clean every time.
