sorry for late comment, please answer, what rpm should i go on my cbr1000rr for casual riding ? if i go halfway of the max rpm like many say it tends to overheat, and im scared to go too low to not force the engine...i saw you go at about 3500, is lower ok ? or that should be a standard rpm, then set the speed using the gears, and once in a while go to 7-8k rpm to "make it cough" a bit

taking the clutch out of the equation is the future... if the computer can do it better, there's no need to have it... you still have control over the gears... you just don't have the hassle of clutch...

Great review mate. I've had my original red and white version for 16 years and even now every time I sling my leg over it, it still brings a huge smile to my face. The best bike ever made in my humble opinion.

I still remember in my young days had just gotten my car drivers license and a TL 1000 R overtakes me and then when he was exatly next to me he popped a wheelie and continued the overtake on one wheel for the next 100 meters

Nice review. But I get sick and tired of hearing ‘investment opportunity’- it’s a bike bloody ride and enjoy it. Like the deception of wealth you can’t take it with you to eternity.

A bit of a marmite bike but one that I’ve considered a time or two, I like marmite bikes and am currently running a 99 GSX750F, another fine marmite bike. You either love it or hate it although I’m not entirely sure where I sit with the TLR. I’d probably go SV1000s if I were to take the plunge, same motor, better handling, better looking.

Hi Bro. If I want to replace the timing chain tensioner, do I have to set the cylinder no. 1 in TDC on compreison? Do I even need to set Cykinder No1 in TDC?

Had mine in 2002 and removing the steering damper made no difference at speed but really improved low speed steering and handling.

Owner why i chose CBR 500r over Ninja 500: Bike looks bigger and is bigger (180cm 85 kg) . Efficient power for beginner like my 43 yo. Comfy. IMO, red color looks incomparable better in real life and is real head turner :)

I rode my 99 R1 for 6 years and when I sold it(yea i cried wanna fight about it) it had a 117k miles on it and 2 transmission rebuilds lol.. finally a titanium gear set fixed second gear problem. Still today one of the best and most unforgiving bikes I ever rode and was viciously fast till the day i sold it

I am happy that I've joined to the RSV mille owners club.It's 2001,standard model,no modifications.My first 1000 cc bike.I've been looking for one in good condition and now when I have one .......I am so happy.😎On the clock just 26500 km.Chain sprocket combination is 15 front and 40 rear.Is that better than stock 17/42?

I dont see the appeal. I would think that itd be intrusive in low speed situations. As for stalling i think that just comes down to knowing your bike. Maybe theres somthing im missing.
@sk4le
Ай бұрын
yes you're missing something its called convenience. I've tried it out it works perfectly and has literally no downsides except like 2 pounds of added weight
@county_bear9509
Ай бұрын
@sk4le maybe. But I've never stalled my bikes on accident. To me it's more to go wrong because the rider wasn't comfortable with their bike.
@sk4le
Ай бұрын
@@county_bear9509 its not because using the clutch is hard. its because it just makes it less of a hassle. the same reason people buy automatic cars instead of manual. people like things that make life a bit easier

@@county_bear9509 i mean i like using the clutch as well but a lot of people just don't really care for it. riding a bike is more than just using a clutch. and especially when commuting and riding in city traffic i also dont really feel like using the clutch all the time makes it more enjoyable

I'm not 100% but I can't see any reason why not, the dealership suggested that the system is likely to become more mainstream across the model range moving forward.

Not currently, but Honda North America often gets new models and updates after the rest of the world does, so we may see this as a 2025 model.
