The upcoming Prelude would have been the perfect opportunity to revive the CR-Z nameplate

if theyd just put a k20 engine instead of the hybrid crap then this car would be a hit. their hybrid is not really a hybrid like you see on a prius. its more of a boost feature. Its not a bad looking car. it has sharp steering as good or better than an s2000.

4:56 All you actually have to do is push the AC button. You'd be surprised how well just the remaining coolness leftover in the evaporator and the circulation of the fan will keep you cool. It's about 4-5x longer than having nothing going at all with a truly insignificant amount of extra fuel used. Which granted, in the summer, is probably still not long at all, but longer than you'd expect.

The junk yard is great for oem parts like that light bulb socket ( hope that parts store socket last you a while) keep in mind that oem Honda stuff even when used will last longer than parts store stuff especially electrical things. Honda wiring last forever as long as people dont mess with it and cut things. You could have soaked that old bulb socket with seafoam deep creep wich is similar to WD40 specialist Penetrant. Remember while at the Junkyard 90s honda Civic parts fit Integra as well if the Integras are stripped clean.

6:56 same happened to me. I had a beetle and it was extremely fun to drive, but it wasn't cheap. Now I have a 4th gen Prius and at first I didn't liked to way it drove. I hypermiled it and now it's decently fun to drive I prefer to do it in the highway though. hypermiling in my city is extremely dangerous because it has a very aggressive and anxious drivers (more than 60 mpg)

También juego al hypermiling, es entretenido en la ciudad, es seguro, ahorra dinero y contamina menos, solo tiene pros, probablemente un petrol head, nos vea como aburridos, pero yo lo disfruto mucho, saludos desde Argentina

Ive always admired these cars and just bought one for my daughter who just went to college. Its a 2009 vibe with 161000 miles. They arent quite as cheap as they were a few years ago. I paid $3500 for it. However, there is not too much you can buy these days for that amount. It has the larger 2.4 liter engine. I was impressed with the ride and the pep it has after driving it to her 2 hours away. Im hoping it lasts her for at least a few years, which i think it will. Through my research, just make sure you look at the subframe (especially the rear subframe), especially when buying one from northern climates. If its rusted out, its a very expensive fix, and dangerous to drive.

Good video, good vibe, thanks for the content ! As you said, chasing fuel efficiency can sometimes be a fun mini game to break the monotony. One additional thing to do is to keep the car clean, and waxed/polished. This reduces air drag significantly. If you do another test perhaps you can update with some numbers :)

26.1MPG !!!! What the hell kind of a car is that? I drive a 10 year old, 1.6 diesel Ford Mondeo Estate, with a manual transmission, and get 50MPG urban and 60-65MPG rural. It helps if you can drive a manual because you can choose the best power band for the circumstances and use cruise control. I'm very glad that we don't have toll roads (except for the odd bridge), you Yanks are truly crackers (as in crazy, not what you mean by that).

Also got my CR-Z super cheap, a little under 5k, 100k miles. It was going to be my backup and eventually sons first car....but I love it. He will still get it but I'm getting rid of my daily ( Alfa Romeo Giulia ) for something more practical as I love driving the CR-Z so much. Got a little cold air intake for it and everything. My first car ever was a 1990 Honda Prelude Si ( not the 4WS ), got it for my 16th in 1999. It wasn't well loved by its previous owner and almost got me killed a few times, but I loved that pos. This thing has brought that back, I'm 41 now and handing it down to my son in a few years but here I am out here modding it, improving the meh audio system, detailing it and putting my far nicer car on Autotrader because I don't like it as much. Stupid Hondas.

I love this car, i love that I can plug in a fire stick into the dashboard and simply turn off the parking brake restriction. Tether to my phone and I have the entirety of streaming platforms for my passengers to watch. It is great on gas and has nice pickup in sport mode. Also it is a thin and tiny car, about half the size of a normal compact 4 door, so it makes for easy and more accessible parking in Chicago. I can park between cars that nobody except a motorcyclist can. 😂
