I’ve seen this episode before I’ve watched Khulja sim sim Sesame Street in Urdu open sesame when Mumford turns Grover into a rabbit in Urdu before I’ve moved to Virginia in 1999. When I was 6 years old.

And decades later, the Electric Mayhem performed this same song at Outside Lands 2016 (though they did the Joe Crocker version then, rather than the original Beatles one shown here)

There is SO much going on in this video. The Terry Gilliam-style animation ended by the Monty Python foot. The Beatles reference. Dr. Demento. The short line of music that Al used to wrap up all his polka medleys. Pretty much none of which I had originally processed when I saw this when it originally aired. My parents had the Beatles album that the "blisters" line was from; I don't know if I originally made a connection there, or if I just thought it was something musicians just said sometimes.

I think this is one of the only times Janice took center stage. It’s also a good representation of the Mayhem’s dynamic. These guys have each other’s back, come rain, shine, or blood sacrifices.

Is this a parody or a scathing indictment of corporate evil? Are Quizno’s Subs Sponge Monkeys simply beloved cherubic singing animals, or is something more sinister happening? What sort of sandwiches would Palpatine enjoy?
