I wish the lights were RGB so it could match my setup

So we just are going to ignore the fact that the T16000 is known for drift, dead zone and the old style ball/socket gimbal vs the new Winwing pincer hall effect gimbal that is super precise? Also several parts of this review is just wrong. If you want ppl to actually watch your videos, I suggest you don't get really basic stuff wrong and know the products you are talking about. Ive had both sticks and only got the TM one because I bought the combo pack with the throttle. The WinWing stick is in a completely different league. The Ursa Minor is basically a VKB Gladiator clone and this version gives you a "Gladiator Airbus" stick.

Both sidesticks have Hall effect sensor XY gimbals and are super precise. Pincer or not, I haven’t found the Thrustmaster lacking in pitch or roll precision at all. In fact, the longer travel provides better control for most in-flight maneuvers compared to the shorter range of the WinWing. I also haven’t experienced any drift or dead zone issues, even after extensive use. Perhaps there have been some changes to the Yaw potentiometer in the TCA compared to the T16000, but this has been my experience so far. I don't see any 'completely different leagues' here-both have solid design and precision compared to other options on the market.

Using it with MSFS. Coming from the TCA Flightstick. I tend to disagree with your resmuee, for me it was a huge step up. To name a few things, the Ursa Minor is doing better: No twitching Z-axis, stick is overall more close to the real deal, buttons have a nice click feedback to it, the X- and Y-axis can be adjusted in their dampening (which gives it more of the hydraulic like feeling) - which would all be points, an airbus enthusiast should strive for. For the price point and as an Airbus style Joystick, it does so many things much better than the TCA Flightstick.

Appreciate your feedback, man! Unfortunately, it didn’t feel like a huge step up for me due to the other reasons I mentioned in the video. Regarding the 'hydraulic-like feeling,' it felt more numb, slow, and non-linear in return for me. I ended up removing those adjustment screws. Maybe it’ll feel better with a different springs

For those who don't have rudder pedals, the yaw axis on the Thrustmaster becomes jittery after a couple of months to the point of being completely useless after 6 months or so as it doesn't respond at all to the rotation and just jumps all around when rotating the axis. For those who use or used the Saitek/Logitech G throttle quadrants it's exactly the same famous behaviour on the TCA Airbus yaw axis.

While I do believe this could occur and I've heard similar reports from others, I have yet to experience it myself. My yaw axis has been precise and free from jitter, and I've been using the TCA sidestick for over six months. I'm not sure if Thrustmaster made any improvements (which I doubt), or if it's just a case of different milage on my end :)

@@keyelem maybe some improvements indeed! I have mine since the launch at 2020 and it became jittery after 6-7 months. I initially used the axis for tiller/nose gear steering on the aircraft that had the option to steer independently from the rudder axis (Aerosoft A318/19/20/21/30, FSLabs and the P3Dv4 PMDG 777)) and had to quit using it and return to the traditional steering using rudder axis. So maybe it was corrected somewhere in time on newer products.

At 4:18 you say that the TCA is misleading as the throttle slider doesn't have a detent between idle and reverse position but it DOES indeed! And you can program it in the Thrustmaster software if you want the reverse part to act as a button (as it comes by default) or as an axis, or part of the slider axis. I have it by default as a button and use it for parking brakes, since my throttle quadrant stopped working and I can't find a new one.

thanks for the comment, but the detent typically means a tactile click or stop in a control, like the TCA Quadrant has. While the TCA sidestick allows you to configure the lower section of the throttle slider to function as a reverse thrust, but it still lacks a tactile detent in that area.

@@keyelem My TCA has a slight detent, but I heard that newer versions don’t and I wonder if it’s a problem with their moulding process. I bought mine just a few weeks after the release.

If having an airbus version of the winwing isn’t the most important then I would not suggest this version of the ursa. The other version with more buttons right near your hands.

My suggestion would be to explore other options, as these two are specifically designed for flying Airbus aircraft and you'll find it lacking some extra buttons and controls for something like warthunder and star citizen

Hey i connected my URSA Stick to my PC but ingame my sidestick is not moving. The settings from msfs register the connection. Does somebody know how to fix it? Tanks for the video

hey, essentially you have two options here: - map all axis and buttons manually in the MSFS control settings OR - use the "SIMAPP Pro", the one I showed in this video (13:35). Under "Key Binding" tab it has some predefined profiles for each sim, you can download and run it locally: - run MSFS first an create custom empty profile for the WinWing stick; - save and close MSFS; - start SIMAPP and go to the settings (gear icon at the top right) and make sure MSFS paths are set correctly there; - go to "Key Binding" tab and click on the MSFS2020 icon - on the right where it says "CLOUD FILE" find WINWING and double click to download it; - then click RUN button on the downloaded profile; - it will override the custom empty profile you created in the first step; This should be it, run MSFS and adjust keybindings as needed. Hope it helps!
