As per usual, all Roger Waters shows suffer from the same affliction - the lack of David Gimour. And any time Roger's not singing the music sounds like a Pink Floyd cover band. Having said that, Animals is the only Floyd album that matters.

I was lucky enough to see Roger in Birmingham July 2018, sitting 30feet away from the middle of Battersea Power Station + I had a really powerful Ecstasy and it was the GREATEST CONCERT I've ever been to, visually and musically OUTSTANDING

I was at that. if he could have left some of the USA politics out of it, it would have been much better. But he couldn't help himself.

@anthroparion if you know, listen, or have ever been to see Roger Waters then why did you go..?? Roger has always been political and made his voice heard because he has a platform which most of don't put which we wish we did have..! In every Roger Waters concert he makes statements about basically the bullshit of American politics and Greedy Pigs and Dogs just listen to Animals .!!

Something has happened to Mr. Waters the last 20 years. I saw him 2004 in Oslo Spektrum (my first big concert ever). He focused solely on the music. No political preaching or anything. Sad to see old musicians jump on the Woke-bandwagon to stay relevant.

Glad that most of the album was performed live again, don't care for the politics though. I think Roger could have spared himself of that. Music is supposed to bring people together, not dividing. Seems that Roger has forgotten about that. Many of his fans are not necessary left wing like him.

Many people have left his concerts because of his politics. His attacks on Jews, Israel and Donald Trump turn people off. People want to hear music, not Rogers left wing preaching. He claims he can't stand Hillary or Biden, but somehow they are left out. Very hypocritical to me.

@@bent2 Did you see his latest show? He didn’t spare Obama, Bill Clinton, Bush Jr or Biden then. And yes, he included T***p in there too, much to my absolute joy.

Dave needs a stuff of writers and his wife in order to write songs that sound like a bad copy of Waters songs ("dogs of war", "a great day for freedom", etc. By the way live Pink Floyd used stuff musicians since 1977. Mister Carin, for instance, has worked with both Waters and Gilmour separately.

The world will be losing a big chunk of the 60s-70s rock giants over the next decade or two, many who are irreplaceable. I used to wonder what future generations could come up with musically that I would dislike, and they sure as hell pulled it off. Boy "bands", Divas, Auto Tuned "singers" "The Voice" Rap/Hip Hop... a mic alone is not a musical instrument, and doesn't instantly make for a musician or artist...blech!! Even the crooners of yesteryears could pluck an acoustic guitar or play the piano.

I'm glad Roger at least hired a competent guitarist. He's definitely no Dave Gilmour, but he can play what Gilmour wrote at least 75% lol
