Awesome dude, love to see others getting after it this summer!! I respect the Ice axe and no gloves steeze. 🤙 Great editing btw, very watchable - just gotta angle that gopro up a lil bit on the skiing, so hard to get that angle right.

Yeah I was bummed when I saw the angle of the footage, but it is what it is. Glad you enjoyed it regardless!

The Lee Ridge to Ranger station is quite a hike. Where did you dad hike off to after the first day ?

Great video! Do you know what pace you set and how long your trip took? (strava link? or some other hiking app record it?)

Thanks! The trip took about 6 hours total. I didn't Strava this one, but I believe it was a bit less than 16 miles round trip, which puts me at just below 3 mph. A lot of that was snow navigation and summit time and just dinking around

I was thinking of heading up there to do the loop -- when did you do this?
@caseyparked

I did it two days ago! Still pretty snowy up high, but if you get an early start and bring crampons (and maybe an ice axe), I bet you could do the whole thing.

@@caseyparked Thanks for the reply. It's a great loop -- I did it a couple of years ago in the summer. I think that I'll give it go in the next week or two.

Happy for you that you got to see a bear! Waiting for the year I get to earn my badge seeing a bear on a backpacking trip.

“It is beautiful out here and my tummy’s full, so we’re not doing too bad” Definitely sums up my experience hiking. The views and trail snacks really bring out the best in the sometimes grueling hikes.
