Welcome to Ferny’s Crafting Corner! I take inspiration from nature to create projects for the modern life. I hope you enjoy my videos and subscribe for more content!
I just finished my first go at this and there are soon to be more. I love it! I particularly love how you attach the motif to the bodice. It doesn’t look “stuck on”, it’s beautifully integrated. Those corners are just perfect. Thank you!

Thank you so much! This top was my first pattern, video, editing, everything. It holds a special place in my heart. I am very happy to hear you have enjoyed it too!

It's a beautiful pattern and I'll definitely try it myself. However, I didn't quite understand the purpose of the black contrasting yarn, and the method you used to stitch both ends together.

I am so sorry for the delay. I have been in physical therapy for several months and have not yet been cleared to crochet. There is a complete written version of this pattern on Ravelry. I will run a half price sale for this weekend to help you finish up your project

How are your stitches loose enough? Is it maybe my yarn? I can't get it to stretch over that far and my tension is normal not tight🥲
@FernysCraftingCorner
5 ай бұрын
Sorry to hear you are having trouble! I used loosest tension and Big Twist Living yarn from Joann. It is an Antipilling acrylic yarn if you are looking for something comparable. I hope that helps 🙂

What pins for 48 pin?
@FernysCraftingCorner
5 ай бұрын
You may find the ear warmer too wide on a 48 pin machine, but the pattern would be similar with half of the pins plus five on each side for the border. So pins 1-5 plain knit, patterned pins 6-19, pins 20-48 plain knit and repeat.

Thank you for your comment! I hope you will love your new machine as I love mine. I would consider this an intermediate or advanced pattern, so for ear warmer closure techniques I recommend @koalaknitsandknacks channel for basics to get you started 🥰

Hey I’m halfway through making this top and I love it but I just wanna note that your hands are covering your working space for like half of this video and it’s hard to see what stitch you’re going into or what certain spots should look like. I’ve figured it out (I hope) but I have to keep rewinding and slowing it and guessing lol. Maybe taking your hands away or pointing and zooming in occasionally would help. Either way I love this design thank you so much for sharing ❤️

Thank you for your time and energy to teach us how to do this beautiful sweater. I have made 4 hexi cardis, do you think that is enough experience to tackle this somewhat harder rendition? Again …. Thank you so much! Is there a Part 3 on the way!?! 😅

@@cindyfargher4574 I do think you have the experience to tackle this project! Unfortunately, I sustained an injury which has put me off crocheting for the time being. I will upload a part 3 when I am able to hook again, hopefully within the next month. The written instructions for the final part are available for sale in my Ravelry store if you need them before I am able to upload a tutorial. Thank you!

To adapt this pattern to Addi 46 the pattern pins will be as follows. For pattern row 1: begin your slip pattern on pin 8 and end on pin 15. For pattern row 2: begin your slip pattern on pin 9 and end on 16. Use your contrasting color on pins 32-39 To adapt this pattern to the Sentro 48, begin your pattern row 1 on pin 9 and end on pin 16. Begin your pattern row 2 on pin 10 and end on pin 17. Place your contrasting color on pins 33-40.

What rows would it be for a 40 pin?

Hi Deann! This pattern does not change at all based on which machine you use. Since they all have an even number of pins, the pattern translates to every knitting machine. Hope that helps!
