Impressive! Is there a way to see photos of the individual spoons in detail? Do they pertain to real people, or were they inspired by your imagination? Throughout the video, l had an idea they might be commemorative, like the AIDS Quilt…which got me down the rabbit hole of the panels I worked on! (And the backer rod wig in the inset link at the end always reminds me of one that I made as a memorial to a friend!) Thank you !

Diolch/thanks! Yes I have taken pictures of all the individual spoons, I have posted them with small texts on my Instagram. The show has just started so over the coming days I will be updating my website with all the information of the project at this time. And to your question, I suppose yes and no. I have a decent size collection of vintage gay magazines so two of theme spoons were inspired by people and information in those magazines. But also some are just my imagining of people and stories with both welsh and queer themes. I agree they are commerative in a way, the aids quilt is another example of commemoration and craft coming together, I would be immensely pleased for my work to be shown along with pieces like that. 😊

WOW this is AMAZING!!! I wonder if it's possible to create a base of that spray foam and then glue hair on top of it? Or if it's just better in that scenario to invest in a hair cage? I have a wig that needs a crazy base (Fairy Godmother from Shrek 2) and this technique looks so good! Incredible work!

Are you just using regular hot glue? And to you need a primer on the wig before you paint? It’s so cool
@mattiegriffiths

using a "cool melt" hot glue. regular hot glue is too hot for this stuff, it just melts.
