Every African kingdom without exception traded in slaves. Most slaves were either prisoners of war or judgment debtors or abducted from their communities. Slaves were sold to anybody who can afford them. The European and Arabs bought slaves from African kingdoms and other Africans also bought African slaves freely. Everyone participated in slave trade including former slaves themselves.

Kemet and Kush and Aksum and Punt were not involved in slave trade. You euro-nuts only bring that up when you realize our civilziation were richer more prosperous and grandiose then yours when you people were living in filth (Black plague) and had to wait arabs (moors) to teach you how to wash your ass.

Jonas, I did this video as a class project back in school and my information came straight from my text. However, I would love to get the facts straight (I don't take offense to being called a "fool", I'm more interested in getting it right). Thanks for pointing out the inaccuracies. And if you can, point to me some of the correct info. I'd appreciate it.

Ade Herbert Good job for starting to understand Africa. Stay off colonial books. There are many finds these days about African histories. You right about there rulling location but not the people who rulled from the begining. I teach Swahili Language. Swahili people weren't muslims from the start. Swahili are Bantu people that came from different tribes to form Swahili for trading purposes. Many were ancient Egytian christian like religions. Some become muslims after the return of one of our last rulling King who got captured by Omanian Arabs. Later on terms got mixed and people got rulled with the outside world. "Slavely." Read "The truth behind the Swahili coastal civilisation". Or watch on KZitem for new finds. .

Jonas Ilole Hello I have a question brother (hope you don't mind me calling you that some Africans take offense to African Americans calling them anything dealing with family terms) I was always under the understanding that Bantu means language and has nothing to do with lineage, is that true?
