For help with tracking I’d recommend raising the mouse DPI up to 1800 and then dropping the sense to 1.73. I’m not exactly sure as to why it works to be honest but there’s a lot of people including myself who report that the cursor moves much smoother on high DPI and low Sense

I averaged out the numbers and calculated that you go 14% faster with the shorter runs that had a larger sample size. With the longer run it had a drift a draft and a hazard in favor of it but if your interested it was 16.6% faster than the original run. The real number probably is you go 15% faster if you are in last place. Math- Average of first place 47.25s Average of second place 40.75s Percentage faster 14% first place in seconds 182.13 Second place in seconds 202.51 going off first place each lap should be 60.71s (182.13/3) second place should have just had an extra lap so (60.71x4 = 242.84) the percent difference from what they got and what they should have got they were 16.6% faster

This is really interesting! Thanks for doing the math on that! It's cool to know that it's probably about a 15% increase in speed. I didn't even think to take it that far and math out, but I love numbers so this is awesome

As a unreal player I hate this shit with a passion If you get first your speed gets nerfed and it’s super easy for other unreal to catchup You get brutally punished by this mech in high tier even if your doing well because all they need to do is stack boost You literally have to pray the other players crash or aren’t stacking boost if you wanna hold first
@warhero_omega

I think it should definitely be toned down or removed as you get higher up in the rankings. People are better, so they shouldn't be making mistakes, and if they do they should get punished for it. This mechanic seems to make it so there is no punishment for a mistake. I was only ever Diamond so I don't know about the higher ranks, but does that sound about right?

@@warhero_omega It’s this plus the mag flip exploit that kills unreal. If you know how to mag flip, which is basically using the air dodge to trick the game, it will send you a few hundred feet forward extremely fast It’s a exploit they can’t get rid of tbh because they designed the dodge to act like a magnet and attract/grab onto surfaces Obviously people found away to manipulate that and so now you can barely win or even keep up with those players who can get it to work, because it clearly wasnt designed that way Or else it’d work everytime, In at 60% champions this season but I keep getting paired with speed hackers and people who know map glitches and the mag flip exploit so yeah Any legit player will simply be stuck at champion this time around Unreal is gunna be filled with exploiters/cheaters pretty much and that’s gunna kill the game

Within a min the difference is around 10 sec then. Thats far to strong. As you hit the hazard ypu can see the low impact as well bacause of the faster accileration. The advantage of the catch up should me cut in half in my opinion. I stopped playing because of this. Ifi died twice or drive clean doesnt really matter if it isnt the last lap. This isnt true racing even considering it is a game.
@SkyMonkey42

There’s a better way to do this test. Have one person to be one whole lap ahead. Do a countdown and accelerate at the same time. Use a stopwatch for when you clock the ending spot. That in itself should show a clear difference. Also, as a pretty consistent player myself whom has blundered pretty badly in a race and managed to catch up and get 2nd definitely means there is a catch-up mechanic.
@warhero_omega
9 ай бұрын
Yeah initially when we did our one lap ahead I was going to countdown. But discord voice chat has delay so I would've begun accelerating sooner if I counted down or vice versa. That's why when we ran the test in the video I just said to go and then I'd go
@lukeforbes2008

That was actually the second test we did. I ended up getting a draft at the start though so I got ahead. But with her being a full lap ahead meant she was 45-60 seconds ahead of me. And after the race I was only 20 seconds behind. So I was basically around 20-40 seconds faster I think

Another thing to note is that during your test starting at 8:05, your friend's displayed speed was almost consistently around 30-70 kph lower than yours (except for the very end), yet she still beat your time by 6 seconds. That's nothing if not suspicious. I'd never heard of this mechanic before this video. It's basically rubber banding for human players.

Pinning this! I'm so glad you pointed that out because I didn't even notice that! Just further proves it exists. It's almost like you're getting a constant draft without the visible lines showing you, or the speedometer showing an increase. Thanks again for pointing that out!

Rubber banding is ketchup on AI, this mechanic is super common, even GTA V has it in Online races. Some games slow the leader down, some speed up the others. Arcade games are made for noobs enjoyment, ketchup is needed for that.

there's a thing that I need to say. Theoretically, you don't need to specifically looked down while mantle jump. I've seen this explanation on Treeree's tutorial video. He did the mantle jump while looked upward and it's still work. And he say, there's a bit height difference between look upward and look downward. If you look upward, you can get more height than look downward. Because of it you can do the mantle jump from the 3rd floor of streamer building to the roof, with looking upward. but, there's some places you need to do the mantle jump while looking down, like the streamer building roof. Because there's a quite tight gap between floor and the ceiling. So if you did the look upward mantle jump, your character head gonna hit the ceiling. and he's demonstrating the mantle jump to any direction. It depends where you looked. You can mantle jump to the left or right, and you can even mantle jump to the back without tap strafing. I'm not good for explaining the whole technique tho. But you can watch Treeree's tutorial vid for in depth explanation. and also, nice simple tutorial from you. Really easy to understand

What you performed is a regular superjump of a zipline and a ghost jump. A mantle jumps throws you higher in the air and is performed WHILE climbing a ledge from a mantle, not afterwards.
