A guy like bus rutten kicks so hard that even a professional trained fighter gets a broken liver. So imagine boztepe just walking forward with no need to defend nothing just his famous forward punch. He may hit him in the face before emin cringes on the ground.

This sifu Emin Boztepe is straight forward, simple very strong ruthless ofedefensive technique and great teacher because u can understand him easily but when it comes to Bruce Lee im not in aggrement with Boztepe first of all bruce lee has interview and recorded where he is showing the same thing which boztepe talking about bruce infact bruce speaks that his moves with screaming and fancy kicks are just good for movies or to impress someone while in fact the real thing and in real situation he uses very ruthless and straightforward hits that are really practical ...

You critized Bruce for a book that is just an incomplete puzzle of writes, ideas, put togheter by Jhon Little. Bruce taken always also in the travels, clipboards for a new way to concept the fight. The result of his study and results are under the eyes of helf world, and are the MMA and the UFC. Emin is probably the most deadly wing chun master living, but his power come also by his body. 185 cm, and 100 kg, against the only 170 and 55 of Bruce. Emin is a true grand master, Bruce was an amazing street fighter, an actor probably the most famous person after Jesus and the Pope.., incredible but is like that, and an amazing piooner about the fight. The majour part of "The tao of jeet kune do" has been write by Bruce during the six mounths of the '70 injury. Is'nt a book, is became, but was'nt before his death. Listen 'the lost interview', where Bruce explaine his point of view on martial art, and the philosophy concepts that at that time, was like went Leonardo told that the Eart was not flat and risk the life. A true revolucionary road. Always in progress, in a continuos state of advance, day by day, mounth by mounth. He was the martial arts, the rest are only practitioners...Do you undetstand "the difference?". Thanks and sorry for my english...

Wing Chun had a few generations of students in the Yip Man days. First Gen students were fighters. Good ones and they tested themselves in real fights all the time. Their students are like Emin. They are also fighters. They would gladly fight someone, regardless of style, win or lose. Master Wong's guys are like this too. They are down to test their skill. 2nd generation Yip Man students tend to be teachers but not fighters as much. 3 gen....no comment.

Ok...can we stop with the 'this style sucks' or 'this sport rocks' shit? Wing Chun is only, I repeat, ONLY about protecting yourself; it's not meant to be flashy, it's not meant to be 'deadly', it exists to defeat an enemy without ever being harmed. Is it an invincible style? No. Is it ineffective? No. My recommendation for those who talk up boxing or MMA, is to look at JKD, the predecessor to MMA developed by Bruce Lee (who's first style learned was wing chun).

Well acutally we all don´t live Life like pro. Tennisplayer too! But guess what .... if you want to be good (not great, like the pros) you have to play the same like pros but with LESS intensivity. That is true to all sports. Especially with martial arts. Train what the pros train, do a little bit of scenariotraining for self defense and you will do better than trad. WT.

(part 2) There are plenty of high paid zero rules cage matches (google Vale Tudo). The same arts dominate them and the same arts fail at them. If a system produces zero winners at the top, or even in the middle for that matter and the internet is replete with video footage of it failing everywhere else how do you expect me to take your claim seriously. Like I said I deal in testable, repeatable, falsifiable evidence. I actually care whats true and what isn't and its the only way to find out.
@myjizzureye
11 жыл бұрын
You are clueless of how the burden of proof works, let me give you an example. By your standards if I am to say there is an invisible pink unicorn in my bedroom its completely real and exists so long as you cannot disprove it. That's not how it works. You are the one claiming WC is a legitimate self defense system and I am claiming an invisible dragon. Both of these statements cannot be taken seriously without proof. The only true test is fully resisting opponents.
@rqml0l
11 жыл бұрын
I don't care to prove anything to you - there is a difference sir. My 'claim' that modern WC is a legitimate self defense system is just as true as your 'claim' that it is not. You have not proved that it cannot work - and according to yourself I have not proven it can work. Lastly - I don't use WC to fight competitively, that wasn't the reason WC was even thought up of, so when you refer to a championship belt it has no meaning to me.

Because roaming gangs of wild thugs just randomly attack people in the middle of super markets at 3:00pm and they never have a gun or a knife when they do it. No no these roaming gangs of thugs insist on just bare knuckle show downs one at a time and when thwarted with magical eastern duckhands they just go away never to be seen again or to seek revenge with a knife or a gun at a later date. Yes Sir assaulting people physically is the smartest way to avoid violent confrontations...wait what?
@myjizzureye

Firstly you fully admit not caring about evidence (and as a byproduct truth) after being caught spouting typical anecdotal tales of "leg breaking" and other mystical feats...without a single piece of evidence to verify the claim. You then go on to claim EBMAS new improved magic duck hands works without providing a single example of somebody using it and winning a paid fight, let alone a championship belt. If your race horses win big races, you can claim you know how to train them, until then..

You're not distinguishing the difference between traditional WC and modern WC. They are not one and the same - they are different. You just see WC and think that they are all the same - that's like me watching an MMA fight and not distinguishing the difference between a striker and a grappler, or someone who prefers BJJ as opposed to boxing. Anyway, I'm not gonna feed the troll anymore. If you have a MMA background or anything similar please attend an EBMAS seminar and spar with Emin.
@myjizzureye

So in other words basically it didn't happen, right got it. "If you want 'evidence' then go search for it yourself. I'm not bothered about it." Of course you are not bothered about evidence. If evidence was an important factor in you formulating belief you would not still think WC actually works. I am one of those weirdos that's into testable, repeatable, falsifiable claims. Try to sell me magic beans and I'm gonna need some evidence, you on the other hand I have a bridge to sell.

You're the one with the issue with Wing Tsun, not me. What you don't seem to understand is that EBMAS Wing Tsun is not traditional Wing Tsun - it is geared more towards self defence and realistic scenarios. If you want 'evidence' then go search for it yourself. I'm not bothered about it.

Sifu Emin broke a man's leg in a seminar because he tried to attack him unprovoked. I am sorry but you are going to need to prove that actually happened. Please link me some evidence or I am going to say I once fired dragon balls out my ass during a seminar because I was attack unprovoked.

Sifu Emin broke a man's leg in a seminar because he tried to attack him unprovoked. EBMAS Wing Tsun does work because it is not traditional Wing Tsun. If you want to spar with him then I'm sure he would be willing to accomodate that at a seminar. Be my guest and go to one :).

What was the point ? Emin trained early versions of BJJ and what u call MMA today back in the US during the 1990s. His Gracie challenge however remains a zero point loss for him to this day. The Willie CHung episode you can mark off as two egos, Kernspecht vs Chung clashing, with Kernie sending Emin to do teh fighting. No glory there as well. Emin does his own stuff now and he has evolved. Good for him. Even MMA fighter Josh Barnett speaks highly of WIng Chun in his "Guard Attack" series.

You can use a broom to defend against an attacker in the street. You can be quite effective if you practice for years. Yes you could use it to defend yourself, but its the slowest and least effective method out there.

How high is this guy wearing his track pants, thats a red flag right there. I simply cannot stand guys who do the "you come at me and do this" and then do the set choreography things. Then this fruit goes "come at me with anything" and the guy does the EXACT same dumb shit each time. If you are not willing to demonstrate your shit works in open sparring with respected challengers you have no credibility with me.

I would love to see Emin spar with Paul Vunak. Same age, same amount of training, both experts in trapping arts. It would be Wing Chun VS Jeet Kun Do but more importantly it would be 2 experts in very similar arts that use trapping and close in punching as their preference. I'd pay money to see those 2 guys go at it with head gear all out for 1 round. Bet that fight would sell better than a UFC championship fight. Go for it, Emin! Fight of the decade!

I see many people saying, "Wing Chun isn't a sport, therefore it can't compete in MMA." People who comment this are paraphrasing others. They're not really thinking what they're talking about. If Wing Chun is for street-fighting, it should work against MMA in the ring too. The street is supposed to be tougher than the ring. Logic says it's easier to fight in the ring with MMA guys. But, why is Wing Chun guys contradicting themselves? Easy, they're mechanical, thus unable to fight naturally.

i can see a lot of applications to other martial arts here- namely bjj (obviously) and how you can keep doing your bjj- guard pass, sweep, mount, not letting opponent pass your guard... and now that i think about it and see him do it- some of the better guys who always tapped me out in no time seem to have figured out this same knee pinching thing...
