Any 5v ARGB works actually, you can get lucky and your board might support over 500 LEDS. Using WS2812B strips is actually my best way to do so, converting the connector to ARGB motherboard connection. Then, installing SignalRGB for controlling LEDS with mind blowing animations.

These are the WS2812B leds when you search for them the main price difference is how many led modules are per meter of strip. This type of strip lets you address each led element individually to create the effects shown, the 5050 RGB strips are addressable per strip so all the led elements on a strip are controlled as a whole and you can change the color and intensity of all of the leds connected at once not on an individual led element basis.

To future people watching: You should consider buying 144 led/m instead of 30 led/m for better led density Use ws2812b if you want it to be cheap. If you decided to actually use 144 led/m, you need a general basics electronics knowledge and a cheap mosfet driver costing like 1 USD. This way, the density is higher. You can also use a diffuser to diffuse the lights to create a better flow of colors.

I have a question , I am using an asus tuf g302 case and tuf b550 plus motherboard , to get my aurora sync to work I had to plug in the a-rgb controller on the case to the mb 3pin connector , I am looking into buying a led strip but the rgb controller for the fans is already plugged into mb , if I plug the led strip to an available slot on the controller (for a fan ) will it work ?

can you help me? can my mobo handle this 60 led per 1m. i have 2 pcs..... this is written on my manual 10. Aura Addressable Gen 2 header The Addressable Gen 2 header allows you to connect individually addressable RGB WS2812B LED strips or WS2812B based LED strips. The Addressable Gen 2 header supports WS2812B addressable RGB LED strips (5V/Data/Ground), with a maximum power rating of 3A (5V), and the addressable headers on this board can handle a combined maximum of 500 LEDs.

Hello, I love your video. I am trying to do the same thing as you did, but I don't know why I cannot use flash and dash effect, and all of them cannot run one by one as yours, it also cannot use any gradient mode, if I go with rainbow it will automatically run at all color. I am using x570 TUF gaming plus wifi, it has only 1 argb 5v header, so I connect all case fans and led strips (all are 5v argb) into that header with the splitter. I did a lot of research but I could not find anything, I saw some videos said that we need the ROG aura terminal. Could you tell me how you connected all the fans and aio cooling? And do you know why I cannot control the gradient mode? Thank you so much.

can you calculate how much leds you have? they may be too much.. you might need a hub with sata power to efficiently light them all up and get recognized by aura/armoury..

@@Chan1PH I have 42 LEDs on the argb strip, 6 case fans which are plugged into a hub with sata power, a MA620M air cooling with 2 small RGB strips, 2 corsair vengeance RGB pro, maybe 5 more LEDs on the motherboard. I tried to set the number of LEDs to 120 but it cannot be controlled at full mode with aura sync, but it is good at all in Armoury Crate. I also tried to unplug the hub carrying 6 fans and the air cooling too, so it is not too many LEDs left, but it still doesn't work. Do you have any idea? Thank you so much.

the best way to do this is to connect the power directly to your psu instead of the rgb header on the motherboard. you can connect many more strips this way.
