Great video. I'm using a metal socket (saw your comment below) for a pendant with a 2 1/4 shade fitter for a lip edge glass open bell shade; so need the uno threaded socket to screw into the shade fitter. It's a small fixture obviously. Here's the question, there is no ground wire screw in the socket, but there is on my plate in the junction box. Do I connect the ground wire from my cable to the green screw on the plate or not? Hope I got on the lingo correct. I may chicken out and hire a pro to connect this but I still need all the parts. Thank you.

I had no lights or power on my KitchenAid. Did some KZitem research (including this video) and ordered a thermal fuse from Amazon for 8 dollars. All I did was pulled the leads off the old thermal fuse, and replaced it with the new one. Worked! Didn't use the new wire harness or anything, just replaced the old one. Saved hundreds of dollars on repair technicians, and lots of hassle. Thanks for the video!

@@jasontribendis5864 are you screwed? No. Not likely. But I do see why you struggled to remove the mount. But you’re going to need a floor jack under the motor to get it back in place. If you have a scissor jack that comes with some Hondas, it likely could work but it doesn’t roll so it’s not ideal
@TallFamilyFilms
Ай бұрын
@@jasontribendis5864 to offer you some additional insight, the entire motor has quite a bit of flex and movement to it. Right now you’re lacking one mount so movement is limited and not ideal for sure. Once the jack supports the motor, it will easily move in all directions to align the bolt holes.

The 04 has a different engine, but I believe the concept of oil filter housing still exist on that model so it’s not a bad place to look. And with the assumption of high miles at this point since that’s 20 years old, you should definitely investigate the valve cover gasket. Good luck!

Honestly, I’ve never tried not jacking it up, but my suspicion is that the weight of the car could make for an unsafe situation as the bar holds tension.

The ac in the rear of my 09 qx56 isn't getting cold could it be the heater control valve under the hood?
@TallFamilyFilms
Ай бұрын
If it isn’t clicking, I would not think it’s a problem. But I wonder if you have a blend door that is stuck somewhere that controls air to the rear. Essentially, it’s just a plastic door that is opened or closed with a little motor called an actuator. These doors and actuators are prone to breaking. If the temperature doesn’t change when you press the button to activate the rear controls, then I would assume something is physically stuck or broken. Especially if the air in the front is cold.
@seibles1
Ай бұрын
The reason I said that was because in the winter I had to turn the valve manually under the hood because the gear had script out in order to get heat in the truck so now that I went back to are I'm thinking I may have to do that in reverse

Is it a good idea to clean my ignition coils with contact cleaner ? I can see some patina on the inside of them, my car has 300k kms and they still haven't been changed and lately I've been having trouble starting the engine sometimes. Spark plugs are new though
@TallFamilyFilms
Ай бұрын
I wouldn’t - mainly because I have never done that and don’t know the outcome. I’ve never cleaned mine more than wiping them with a rag. They make a tool that’s really cheap that tests the ignition coil where you just watch for consistent spark. Did you change plugs to resolve the slow start? That might just be carbon build up - I’d pour/spray some seafoam in intake and see how that goes. It’s also cheap.
@janci1992
Ай бұрын
@@TallFamilyFilms I cleaned the intake already but they were really dark after I did only around 15k kms. I think I'm gonna play it safe and invest in new ignition coils, they're about 20 euros for a good brand. I won't try to clean them, as you suggested, I guess it may not be a good idea.
