Filter number 3 is a membrane and costs the same as filter 1 + 2 + 4 together. Filter change for 1 + 2 + 4 every 6-12 months. Membrane change every 2 years.

You obviously didn’t watch the entire video. You’re supposed to dump the excess water because all the waste gets redeposited into the tank. It would be like reusing half of the dirty oil in your car.

Under the counter RO waist 50-75% of the water, you just don't see it because it goes right into the drain.

Every time that you run a cycle, you’re supposed to dump the excess water. So you fill the tank for each Carafe.

Thanks for the comparison! Just ordered the lite as they now offer the mineral filter for it on Amazon. They list the lite having a drain ratio of 3:1 where the standard version is 2:1. I would have assumed the standard version would be more efficient, but on their website they list a 1:1 drain ratio as saving 50% of water and 2:1 as saving 75%. I don't really understand it, to be honest...

Do the water that come out of the two taste different at all with the larger one having that remineralization filter in the carafe?

To me they taste almost identical, however, I do find that the full size has a slight silky texture, almost a little more viscous.

Do these appliances have memory so if the power goes out will the unit sitll indicate filter usage life (etc)
@tacomcyota8124
8 ай бұрын
That’s a good question. I’m not sure, but I will look into that. As far as I know, the filters aren’t on a timer, but rather a combination of ppm concentration and operation pressure. I can’t imagine that unplugging them or losing power would reset the filters, but I don’t know for sure. I will look at the manuals and get back to you.

@@kerbngator8 sounds like installing an inline unit under their sink might be the best option for someone that doesn’t want to deal with the single tank system. I’d recommend looking on Amazon or consulting a plumber on which system might be best👍
